Struggling to keep the weight off since stopping mounjaro last year. 2 st back on in total.

Tried going back on the injections - not working the same and the cost is so high.

Anyone tried the wegovy pills in a similar situation? Have they affected you the same as the injections? Better? Worse?

Yes I have just put a post on the tablet thread. Have done MJ for two years on and off. Even 7.5 doesn't touch the sides and I am actively gaining. I can't keep paying £300 so I am going to try the pills. I have just been approved for 9mg.

Oh I didn't realise there was a seperate thread. Will have a look. Just curious if it's much the same

I am hoping it works as 7.5 MJ doesn't and I don't want to pay the higher rate.

I switched to Oral Weg and found it suited me better than restarting injections. Everyone responds differently, but She Me d has helped me stay consistent with my routine

Trials show that Mounjaro helps patients lose up to 22.5% of their body weight, compared to about 15% to 21% for Wegovy injections, and the Wegovy tablets appear to be slightly less effective than the Wegovy injections.

If you’re struggling to lose anything on your current dose of MJ, then surely it makes more sense to increase the dose rather than drop down to taking the pills?

Lots of posters on here have said they found that going back onto MJ after stopping and regaining the weight, they needed to go up to at least the same max dose as previously, before any suppression kicked in. Your body has already adapted to the previous higher dose and that’s why it isn’t responding to the lower doses.

You also need to stop and think about your longer term health and how you’re going to stay slim and stop yo-yo dieting. Did you consciously change your eating habits and increase your exercise?

For many of us former fatties on here, we know that despite changing our eating habits, we’ll need to stay on some form of WL drugs for life. That’s the reality!
