Has anyone felt constant dizziness on Wegovy after problems with Mounjaro?

So I signed up with Shemed to get the wegovy injections… blood test arrived today!

advice needed please!

I tried Mounjaro around a year ago and I only managed a week as I felt so dizzy, wasn’t like dizzy when standing it was just a 24/7 off dizzy feeling and i didn’t feel right and couldn’t continue but my weight is spiralling and just cause seem to stop binging and restricting so thought I’d give wegovy a try!

is this something I would suffer with whilst taking wegovy? Should I even attempt or is it worth a try? I see so many success stories and just wish it could work for me!

any advice or if anyone has been through the same let me know!! Thanks :)

Not exactly the same but I took saxenda years ago and felt like I was going to die. I vomited on the hour for 24 hours and was literally praying for it to wear off.

A while later I tried mounjaro with much trepidation but was absolutely fine on it and it worked great for me.

So a bad reaction to one WLI doesn't mean all will make you feel that way.

What was your diet like in that week?

Thanks so much!! I definitely ate less but not massively less, I did go to the gp and she said my blood sugars were a tiny little bit low, so maybe I wasn’t eating enough! I even tried sugar tablets but it didn’t go away until about a week after! I really want to try wegovy, so just think I need to bite the bullet and so it, make sure I’m eating and drinking enough! (The right things as well)

so glad mounjaro worked for you!!! Did you get much side effects ?

But what were you actually eating and how much of it. If your sugars were a little low then that does seem like the most likely reason for it. The specifics about what a days worth of food looked like would help us to provide useful advice on where you were potentially making a mistake and what you could change.

If your sugar readings were low then it’s not about sugar tablets, instant release carbs, it’s about slow release, consistent sugar levels and avoiding spikes. The problem with simple high carbs is that they produce a big jump in your sugar levels so your body and the Mounjaro responding by chucking out a load more insulin to combat it, that then causes your sugar levels to rapidly dip. You’d be better off making sure you incorporate a slice of multigrain seeded bread into your breakfast, or having overnight oats with chia seeds for fibre.
