Hi all, I was just wondering how prescribers are vetting people these days? I went through voy about 18 months ago and just had to send photos, is it the same? I’ve put on a bit of what I lost so would like to do a few more months but for some reason few really awkward about being on a video call with someone checking how fat I am! Photos are less personal. What is your recent experience of various providers?

I’ve been on it for 18 months ish & have never had a video call, sent various photos , sometimes none at all, and have used pretty much every supplier on the market . Personally I think less people are using MJ due to cost so my personal experience is that they’re not particularly hard to get hold of now . I’ve been very sporadic about ordering , sometimes over 2 months and they’ve never really refused .

I’m having mine delivered tomorrow, approx a stone overweight and I got mine with Voy, they just wanted my passport ID and photos of me.

I've been on Mounjaro for two years. My first few orders were with Asda and back in 2024 they just wanted photos uploaded onto their website. When I reordered with them in August 2025 they wanted photos but taken within a tight time limit there and then with specific details (scales, date etc) done via a photo taking tool on their website. I think so it was less easy to fake the images. With recent orders with different pharmacies they have wanted ID (passport, driving licence) uploaded as well as photos.

I have not yet had to do a video for any of the pharmacies I use. I don't really want to ever have to do a live video consult with an actual person as I find discussing my weight and body to be excruciatingly awful. I think I could cope with a recorded video, if that was necessary!

Ok this is reassuring - yes I find the idea of a live consult mortifying. Which is a bit ridiculous but I’d find it far more embarrassing!

I’d go with Voy again, I’ve found the service really good so far, the App is also very informative.

Swift ask for recorded video with you saying the date, full body and stepping on scales.

Zava (during pendemic) asked for photo with top lifted to show stomach (I refused as I have a lot of loose skin and I am not photoing that for anyone, and asked for refund)

Oushk ask for photos every 3 months and video call and weight in every 6 months.

I signed up with Voy (for the first time on WLI) on a lower BMI - was 26, so part of the 'off label' prescribing. I had to do a video consultation and it was mortifying, they hadn't said anything about what I could wear during it and I was wearing work clothes as did it on my lunch break when WFH, I had to lift up my jumper and got quizzed about why I was wearing baggy trousers (they weren't, they just weren't leggings!) I had to video myself in front of a full length mirror too which I also hadn't been told about (I had just been asked to have scales to hand, and hadnt tidied the only room with a suitable mirror!)

I don't know if I was randomly selected or if it was because it was the lower BMI /off label prescribing.

I wasn't sure from your post if you started or finished on WLI 18 months ago, whether it's worth seeing if any of the maintenance providers will accept you if you've had a prescription within a certain time period?

I used Nulife recently and had a video call. It was fine I just had to hold up my ID and then video the scales as I got on them. If you wouldn't be happy with that though maybe don't use them

I had to do a live consult with one supplier (can’t remember which) but it was much less intrusive than I thought. It lasted about 20 seconds. They just asked me to confirm my date of birth and address and then told me my order was on its way. I didn’t have to show my whole body or anything - it was just a normal FaceTime. I think it’s just to check you’re real!

I ended up going back with Voy as I just “restarted” (on the lowest dose) but didn’t have to do any verification bar a photo and it should arrive today! Also had some re started bonus so first month was only £85!

I’m with Cloud Pharmacy. When I first signed up 6 months ago, they asked for front and side photos holding a date sign. Then I had a random check a few months ago where they asked for live capture photos, front and side again.

I wore really unflattering pyjama bottoms and slouched a lot.
