Asda just sent email to me. I’m on highest dose of Mounjaro for months now and just staying the same. TBH I’m kind of sick of it. I get quite a lot of side effects, it’s expensive and also just the thought of injecting makes me gag now. If I were losing weight I could probably cope but stayed the same since Dec 25z
Ive been on for two years now so know the score. I’ve come to terms with a bmi of 26, I feel ok at this weight even though I would have loved to hit healthy bmi.
Would live everyone’s thoughts and plans. I do like the idea of a tablet.

I’m staying on low dose Mounjaro injections for maintenance. Reasons are -

  1. I know it works for me
  2. once a week and done is much easier
  3. part dosing using a 5mg pen is cost effective (pill cost doesn’t seem much cheaper)
  4. no 30 minute wait before I can eat/drink anything on a busy morning
  5. Don’t want to lose mounjaro inflammation control

I tried mounjano about a uear ago, lost about 15kg, was really pleased. Stopped treatment and have nearly put it all back on again. I'm going to try the wegovy pill in the hope that the loss will be slower and easier to maintain, with less side effects. I used to feel constantly nauseous on mounjaro, and it did effect my enjoyment of life, so i'm hopeful that the tablets will be a little different!

I’m really intrigued in the same was I was when the MJ prices hiked and a lot of people decided to give Wegovy a go. By and large I saw a lot of people come back to MJ because they said it wasn’t as effective for them (which makes sense as it doesn’t work in the same way as MJ). I’m not tempted by the new pill but again will be watching with interest to see how people get on with it.
Obviously I’d love MJ to cost less, it’s a lot of money every month but it’s the only thing that’s ever worked for my insulin resistant PCOS body and I’ll take it as long as they’ll let me!

I was on Mounjaro and switched to Wygovy when prices were hiked. Wygovy worked well for me aswell (although i 'felt' better on MJ if that makes sense) I reached goal and came off it. I've gained a little since i stopped 6 months ago, I'm going to try the Wygovy tablets to lose what I've gained (about 8lbs) and then maintain.
the tablets are going to be so much easier to store and fit into my lifestyle I'm really excited to start

I've just pre-ordered the Wegovy pill. I haven't tried weight loss injections as I have been trying to lose weight alone but I can't shift more than 2 pounds before putting them back on again. Somehow when I saw that the pills were almost available i thought why not, I deserve help.

I'm nervous about side effects etc but more about them not working. I'm so tired of the diet cycle I've been on my whole life. The mental effort needed to stick to a diet is huge and unsustainable, no matter what the first chapter in all those books that claim not to be a diet book tells me.

I feel like a mouse in a book in a lab that keeps pushing the lever for a sugar reward.
