Wegovy and feel wiped out with nausea help

I am on week two of 0.25 and took my jab on Wednesday.
felt slightly nauseous on and off for a couple days but could handle it.
then yesterday, bam it hit me like a brick 🧱

I’ve never felt so odd on it
I didn’t eat all day because I felt so sick so ate some cheese and egg mayo sandwich filler hoping it would settle it down but it got progressively worse as the evening wore on
I literally was floored all evening and spent it lying on the sofa with my eyes shut willing it to settle down.

I’ve got up this morning and am willing my first coffee of the day slowly and do feel better than last night but still fragile so I’m wondering if this has happened to anyone else here in the early days?
and if so other than pepto bismal is there anything I can take to settle it down because I can not work and function feeling so sick 🤢

I think as I’ve had a busy week my food choices although small have probably been on the higher fatty side so I’m thinking that possibly hasn’t helped but any wisdom from anyone would be gratefully received.

I'd focus on really clean eating. Plain protein and vegetables, avoid fats. Use olive oil and avocado if you want some fat. The simpler the better for now. Caffeine can irritate the stomach so stick to water.

Lower the dose. Ginger tea and plain foods. You do need to eat - refusing to eat at all is very bad for you and could eventually result in sarcopenia or deficiencies.

And yes you can get anti nausea meds like prochlorperazine online.

order some anti sickened meds from your pharmacy provider. You do need to eat, that will not be helping.

Thanks guys for your comments.
it’s the lowest starting dose so can’t go any lower.

i have made sure to eat little and often today and drink lots of water and fluids and I’m feeling a lot better.
I still feel abit nauseous but it seems to happen when I’m suddenly feeling hunger
just about to eat a small pasta and tomato salad with a bagel thin for tea as just started feeling abit sick again

really hoping it setttles down.
am going to find some anti sickness tablets tomorrow in boots

You can go lower, just do a half dose. I find a half dose every 3.5 days is giving me decent suppression with less side effects.

Also though, coffee and fatty foods really won’t be helping you.

snowie75 · 03/06/2026 21:06

How are you feeling now op?

You need to focus your fiet around protein, veg, fruit, calcium sources and some healthy fats.

Hi guys

felt fine after the awful weekend nausea and concentrated on good protein and salads etc. made sure I drank lots of water etc
i weighed wed morning and have lost 3lb so pleased with that

did jab number 3 last night and apart from the metallic taste feel fine.

The majority of us need to completely avoid fatty or carb heavy foods when on the injections, otherwise we end up with the symptoms you’ve described.

Eggs would gave been fine but adding the cheese was a rookie error. 😉
