Abdominal pain - possible gallbladder

I've been on mj for 15 months and lost 5 stone at a slow pace. I've recently started getting abdominal pain about once a week on my right side and feel bloated with it. It sometimes comes with sharp stabbing pains elsewhere and can take a day to subside. I was panicking about pancreatitis but I don't feel unwell or have the other symptoms that go with it. I still worry about that though and perhaps it's gallstones.
I will email my pharmacy (Oushk) and contact my GP but I'm worried I'll have to immediately stop the injections? Im about 10lbs from goal and was hoping for a slow reduction in doses. Scared of food noise coming back with a vengeance. I've been on 10mg for about 9 months. Has anyone else had this and had to stop straight away? It could be ages to wait for an ultrasound etc.

I would see your gp as soon as possible, as you should be examined/ assessed.

Leave informing Oushk until later, they don’t have a GP in house so unlikely to add any value at this point other than say contact GP and stopping prescribing.

Once you get advice from your GP you can tell them what they need to know.

Obviously any increasing symptoms fever/pain/vomiting/jaundice etc speak to 111 or GP or A&E urgently.

I know it will be disappointing if you do need to stop while waiting for an ultrasound, but your wider health is more important.

I don’t think a pharmacy could do much but a good thing to do if you think you have gallstones is to make a diary of anything you eat or do before you have an attack. Or even if you have any stressful events or hormones (TOM).

Second the talk to your gp…. Always best to seek advice.

But just to throw another into the mix - I was admitted via a&e last week with severe add/stomach pain - turned out to be appendicitis with inflamed bowel. After the op, the consultant told me no concerns - mj not a factor. The appendicitis was cause of everything, so once recovered and bowels etc working as normal. I can restart mj maintenance dose.

Definitely speak to your GP/111.

I had gallstones and they asked about WLI in A&E as so many were presenting as a side effect. I also ended up with pancreatitis - my symptoms were the exact same as my gallstone attacks except lower down. What I will say is my gallstone attacks were so severe my out of hrs gp was going to send an ambulance. My symptoms were right sided pain around breastbone and then vomiting. I initially thought it was severe indigestion then as the attacks got worse some sort of heart attack.

Really hoping for you it's not them and is something less serious.

On a side note I know 2 peoole who take WLI post gallbladder removal.
