Changing pharmacy when BMI is now under 30

My BMI was 32 when I started and it’s now 29. Ideally I was going to chase the deals and keep changing pharmacy - is this possible with a lower BMI?

Yep absolutely fine. It is only a potential problem when/if you get to the middle or lower end of the healthy range. Eg 22 or lower. Even then there pharmacies that will take people on for maintenance at those kinds of BMI. There’s a list on the Monj.co.uk website.

Most of them ask for a photograph of the pen your last injection arrived in. Showing your name, the dose and the date it was sent.

I normally dispose of the box after starting the pen, so I had to find an invoice to prove that I'd bought a 15mg pen within the last 6 weeks. Otherwise they either refuse to prescribe or say they can only give you the 2.5 mg starter dose prescription since they have no evidence that you have worked your way up to tolerating the higher doses.

So now I photograph the pharmacy label on the outside of the box and save the image ready to upload if the pharmacy that is currently offering the best price asks for it.

They all seem to have different rules about how to prove your weight and height. Some accept photos, others make you wander around holding your phone so they can watch you step onto the scales and see the numbers.

If you haven't had your height measured for a few years it is worth getting measured next time you visit the nurse or GP.

I was recorded at 5' 5" for my new passport in 1976. Then at 164cm for my medical records in Sweden in 1980. I used 164cm to calculate my BMI the entire time, and then just when I thought I'd got down to BMI 25 I asked the nurse to measure my height and found out that at 68 years old I've shrunk to 160cm. It was as if I'd just run a marathon and as I reached the finishing line som bugger moved it further away! My BMI was back to 26.6 though it did explain why my waist was still so unhealthily wide when I was supposedly nearing normal BMI.

I switched all the time. My last switch was with a bmi 21.7 to pharmalous.. and considering 1 more switch if I can get cheaper but for now im sticking with them.
