Has anyone found weight loss injections seem to reduce inflammation?

So unfortunately I never had my inflammatory markers measured before I started on mounjaro earlier this year. I went to my gp about some symptoms and she thought I might have rheumatoid arthritis so ordered bloods. I had told her my aches and pains were much less since using the jabs.
Anyway my results are in, the normal range for inflammation is <6.9 and mine is 0.5
So has anyone had bloods done before and after and seen a drop or noticed anecdotally that their body feels less inflamed?

Massively so. My plantar fasciitis was cured with practically the first jab, way before any weightloss could have helped. I’d been suffering for years without managing to help it. Inflammation just disappeared overnight.

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 12/05/2026 19:30

Anecdotally, yes. My psoriasis improved dramatically.

Goldfsh · 12/05/2026 19:31

Same here. Loads of pains so much better and no migraines at all!!

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 12/05/2026 19:37

IBS has practically vanished.

Overtheatlantic · 12/05/2026 19:42

Definitely but I put it down to carrying so much weight on a small frame. The only leftover pain I have occasionally is my left knee. Happy for you, OP!

kiwiane · 12/05/2026 21:07

I have osteoarthritis and it’s much improved; my pharmacist at the GP surgery suggested this is usual due to weight loss but it was apparent soon after I started taking MJ. I’d be wary of stopping altogether due to its positive impact on my joints.

HappyHacienda · 12/05/2026 21:14

Ot stopped me biting my fingers to pieces too. Stopped a fee weeks ago and have completely chewed them all up again 🙄

Pimlicoo · 12/05/2026 21:15

My gingivitis cleared up overnight

SweetChilliGirl · 12/05/2026 21:17

Yes. I lost 8lb in the first week and there's no way that was all fat. Within weeks my hips stopped hurting and my plantar fascitis disappeared. I'm holding on at 2mg mainly for that. Heading down to 1.5mg soon but I'm actually more worried about the return of my aches and pains than I am about gaining weight.

Woo383040 · 12/05/2026 21:21

I’ve had a neck problem for years. Regular visits to a chiropractor to keep it at bay. It’s virtually disappeared now. I think the MJ because it was noticeable before I’d lost much weight. Anecdotal of course.

missspent · 12/05/2026 21:30

Yes, endometriosis basically painless. IBS gone. Skin condition in hair gone apart from weeks with lower suppression

ShrankLastWinter · 12/05/2026 21:35

Yes, almost immediately. Dentist couldn’t believe the improvement in my gums.

ButterYellowFlowers · 12/05/2026 21:36

Yes that’s one of their major mechanisms.

lapuf · 12/05/2026 21:38

My endometriosis went too, and it’s back to taking me out for a day every month now I’m off it

Nichebitch · 12/05/2026 21:43

Very much so. I didn’t lose much weight on them, so I stopped, but I went back on them just because the moment I stopped my arthritis pain came back.

HollywoodTease · 12/05/2026 21:46

My IBS has gone too.

Mounjaro is known to reduce inflammation, as in clinically proven.

that has a huge amount of health benefits.

it is anti ageing, in the cells of our bodies, every time we get ill, be it a cold or a bruise, or the mis treatment of our bodies, be it the alcohol or the coffee we drink, our cells retain damage, and the marker of that damage is inflammation.

by removing the inflammation the cells regenerate, thus stopping, slowing or in some people reversing ageing. Trials are now under way to solidify the findings.

inflammation reduction helps in other ways, reduction of cardio vascular disease, dementia, arthrititis etc,

for me, Ir was as simple as stiff ankles. When I got up in the morning they were stiff and sore, going down the stairs or walking round, took a while for them to loosen up. Within a week it disappeared.

i also couldn’t kneel down properly, like a proper sitting kneel, as my heels didn’t bend back, I could only kneel in an upright position, again within a week I could kneel down and rest my back side on the back of my heels.

I'm in exactly the same position as you. I will not be stopping this ever, if I can help it.

Sounds like it should be given free to everyone who wants it at this stage. Surely a low dose (not necessarily for weight loss) would keep so many away from GP/hospital/scans/treatment for joint and other issues. What are they afraid of? The money saved in treatment/diagnosis would pay for it.

Call it Moun "joint" o. 😊

I found daily electrolytes and Nutrageeks 3 in 1 magnesium helped this

Unless you’re very active, Ie a couple of hours heavy exercise daily, or live in a very hot country, or have an excessive sweating problem,, Please don’t take electrolytes daily, it is very dangerous for you. It will cause kidney damage, heart arrithmyia and high blood pressure, they contain too much potassium and sodium to take daily as the norm

ypur kidneys are designed to manage your electrolytes, by taking them daily you force your kidneys to work very hard to get rid of the excess you are consuming,

its Really not something you should do and I’d urge you to seek a blood test from your gp to see if any damage has been done/

I take nutrgeeks magnesium already (and collagen, vit c&k2 omega 3 biotin, tumeric, lions mane and aswaganda)
I dont take electrolytes because i dont think i need them unless dehydrated from illness.
Im wondering if its arthritis. Waiting for an MRI. I was in alot less pain 5 stones heavier. Gutting

828Pax · 13/05/2026 18:10

Hugely. I have lymphoedema in my legs and the difference has been incredible

PearlsTeapot · 13/05/2026 20:09

Me! I don’t have the results to hand but my blood test results 11 months and 4.5 stone apart were amazing.

I have severe lipoedema in my lower body and was becoming immobile. Mounjaro has saved my mobility and I’m no longer living in pain every day. I will never come off it.
