Could increasing Mounjaro be reducing the effect of Elvanse?

Hi all
taking elvanse 30 mg which has always worked well with 2.5 mg Mounjaro. It makes sure I don’t crash and covers me for evening.
it started not to work particularly in luteal phase, was prescribed amfexa top up but im too scared. So upped my dose to 3.33 mg Mounjaro which was ok but noticed elvanse isn’t as noticeable most days and also wears off at 2 pm
I the upped to 4 mg this week and started off well although wearing off at 4
Saturday was ok very blunted appetite but lacking energy I usually have. Yesterday and today no appetite but I’m so fatigued. This morning elvanse kicked in a few hours after taking but literally only had a feint affect for 2 hours
could the higher dose of Mounjaro be blunting affects and is this long term? Any experience from anyone ?

You’ve posted this in the wrong topic. I suggest you ask Mumsnet to move it if you’d like educated responses as most of us probably have no idea what some of these medications are, and are not doctors.

You really need to discuss this with the dr who prescribes your adhd meds… whilst there may be posters who are taking elvanse and Mounjaro, their experiences may or may not re the same - if your adhd dose doesn’t seem to be working, they are best placed to assess what you need.

I am on adhd meds (amfexa( and mounjaro, and I don't think there is much knowledge or research on this sort of interaction.

I think it makes sense though. I've read about glp1s and their effects on dopamine.
I think there were promising noises coming out for things like Parkinsons and mj and adhd is a dopamine regulation thing too.
I have read online about it people finding it helping with adhd symptoms.

mounjaro can cause fatigue, so it could just be that you do just need a higher dose of elvanse or to top up with amfexa. I prefer the flexibility of amfexa anyway being shorter acting.
How long have you been on each of those?

Yes. MJ impacts absorption of medication, hence why people cannot then rely on oral contraceptives.
