So close to not being overweight but self sabotaging

I’m currently 4lbs off not being overweight and I’m stuck and I need help/ advice. I was 2lb off not being overweight but Easter and a holiday happened. I put my mj dose up to 10mg about a month ago but I have managed to overeat. I feel like this is probably psychological rather than the mechanics of the injections and I wonder if anyone else has had this problem? If you did how did you get past yourself to carry on losing weight? I’ve been overweight or obese my whole adult life so to not be overweight is both a massive achievement and a huge change. It’s my birthday in a few weeks and it would be amazing if I was not overweight for it. Thanks for any advice or support 😊

I am in a similar position. Just a squeak into the healthy weight range, but pretty well stuck there with fluctuations that take me back up and then back down again but no definite consistent downwards progress. I’m also on 10mg, have been for many months. I keep debating if I should just move to 12.5mg and dial up suppression if I can but I sort of want to manage without a huge level of suppression when I’m close to target. Maybe that doesn’t make much sense.

Anyway, I would also like to get back to consistent weight loss even if only a small amount each week. I know I need to break out of the sugar/carbs loop and get back into more running and activity. I’m upping my steps as much as I can as well. I’m trying to view this as practice for long term maintenance, and work on definitely permanently dropping bad habits and fully embedding the current good habits.

Just go up a dose. Hit it hard. Reach your goal and then look at maintenance dosing. Sometimes if you faff about too much when you plateau you’ll end up disillusioned and just start gaining

Im in the same position, 4 pounds off a healthy BMI after nearly a year, but I've just gone up and down the same 5 pounds since the beginning of March.
I've not been as focused as I was, so I'm going up to 12.5 next week and trying to refocus.

It's frustrating but think how far we have come! DH and I did go to a buffet to celebrate his pay rise, but I didn't eat everything in sight and we decided to walk the half hour home. I would never have done either of those things before losing weight, so I'm going to trust that I can do this, it's just going to take a bit more time and effort.

Im stuck 6 - 7kg above a healthy BMI on 10 so havent done as well as you. The trouble is, this is ok. I quite like the way I look, I can enjoy my food and if I’m on time with my jabs I don’t get side effects any more. I also don’t have to make a decision about stopping!

I got bad side effects at 12.5 and 15 so haven’t gone back there.

Don’t have an answer… but tbh being 4lb over healthy BMI sounds amazing to me.

Similar story here, I've lost 3st and am now BMI 25.1, stopped losing and have actually put on a couple of lb. I'm on 12.5mg but am not feeling a lot of suppression and am fairly hungry. I'm going to try and focus more on this for the next few weeks and see if that works. Like you, I'm pretty happy with how I look but would like to lose a few lb more, and certainly not to gain.

Diet fatigue is a thing, you just need to up the dose and refocus, once you learn you can push through will power is much more important. The excitement and effort to lose lessens.

im in maintenance, have been for nearly a year and a half, on a 5mg dose, and i know i can push through, and i eat clean and healthy but about once every month or two, i dont. I eat what i please. It’s never not going to be tough, although clearly a million times easier on the meds.

just up the dose, re focus. Get it done.

Exactly this! Good luck!

I think all your positive thoughts paid off and I was 2lb down on the scales this morning so only 2lb to go to be in healthy range! I am willing to go up a dose as I’ve been lucky so far and haven’t really had any side effects but I’d like to lose another stone and a pound and I feel that is going to be a struggle so want to keep those up my sleeve. Also the cost, I feel like my friend’s gastric bypass will have been cheaper than my mj - especially if you look at cost per pound 😁

Another friend is losing weight through walking and cutting out wine and snacks and I’m glad for her but sad for me that it’s so hard. I do intermittent fasting, walk at least 10k steps, eat no more than 1200 cals to lose weight, hardly ever drink, jog, do cardio and weights at home and take mj and I average out at losing less than a pound a week. It’s such a slog and a mission. Bloody perimenopause. Hopefully my body appreciates it 😁
