Is it safe to take Mounjaro on pain medication?

Hi everyone
I am currently on 2.5 of M and have been for 8 weeks. On Monday I pulled my back quite badly and have been prescribed strong co-codomol, naproxen and diazepam for the pain. I am due to take my M this evening. Does anyone know if it’s okay to do so when taking these other medications?
thank you

I take naproxen and diazepam no problem, my GP is aware and fine with it. Not sure about co-codomol.

I’ve been prescribed co codomol whilst taking Mounjaro.

I take pain meds, co codamol, I think the main issues are slowed down efficacy because digestion is slower, and codeine can cause constipation, as can mounjaro, so be careful to drink enough water and keep fibre up, I had a very painful bout in the summer last year due to not drinking enough, I'm not a medic though just my own experience, did your prescriber not know if there was any contraindicated issues?

Thanks everyone - I get the M from medexpress and the prescription for the pain meds was from emergency GP I didn’t mention I was on M…probably should have but was in so much pain I just needed something!

Just google it it will say if contra indicated

Yes, but be cautious about constipation, if the Co-codamol is the 30/500 you may need a precautionary apperient.

I take a crap Ton of pain meds for endo and I have been on it for 2 years

You must read the patient information leaflet inside the box.

I was prescribed codein for a shoulder fracture and the A&E couldn't advise on the jab so I emailed my provider and they cleared it.

If you already suffer from constipation, codein will make it even worse, I had to take Dulcolax to get things moving.

I would say speak to your provider to get it cleared.

Its fine but you will need a laxative. Codeine makes your digestive system stop working, in sure of it lol
