What are the WLI risks that are actually directly caused by WLI?

I could google or AI but tbh I just fancied chatting about it!

I was just curious which WLI symptoms are actually symptoms associated with the jabs alone and not just rapid weightloss? So many of the big risks we hear about (pancreatitis, hair loss, slowing metabolism - please correct me if I am wrong for these specifically) seem to be related to any kind of rapid weightloss however you have achieved that; jabs, surgery, or through food restrictions. I’m just trying to cut through some of the hysteria around them I guess.

I firmly believe that the hair loss is MJ related, rather than weight loss, as it started very early for me and I never lose weight hugely fast anyway. Fortunately I have lots, so hasn’t been a major issue for me, and is certainly a small blip in the huge benefits of being 6 stones lighter.

@VioletandMauve when I looked into hair loss the information I found was that it is an indirect result of mounjaro, not a direct one. Again due to rapid weightloss and/or due to nutrition deficiencies from a suppressed appetite. I couldn’t find anything that stated it was a direct result of MJ. (The good news is that I read it’s temporary and improves when weight and diet stabilises!)

Yes I agree it mostly says that it’s due to rapid weight loss. But my weight loss hasn’t been rapid (2 stone in nearly 6 months, losing on average 1.2lbs per week) and when I’ve lost the equivalent previously over the years, I’ve not had the hair loss. Also my protein, supplements etc were spot on. In my experience it’s a direct result of the Mounjaro and I’ve read of many other people’s experiences being the same too. I’ve seen somewhere that it’s going to be added on as a side effect.

For those of us who had surgery, its very very predictable in terms of hair loss. Your hair will start coming out at 12 weeks post op

You dont believe it will, you think you'll get away with it, but it happens on the dot of the 12 weeks I can guarantee it. No MJ involved

Then at the 9 month mark post op, it stops falling out and then very very very slowly starts coming back to life again.

Its a weight loss thing.
