I took MJ last year, lost 3 st, worked brilliantly, no real side effects . Didnt get to goal but stopped with the price increases. I have regained about 7lbs. Over about 6 months. Tbh i havent really been trying which is stupid.

Consideribg starting again to get to goal, but my god the cost! So loking at other optiobs. Wegovy is such a lot cheaper. Has anyone switched, either directly or with a break?

I’ve just done it. Stopped MJ about 6 months ago and although I haven’t weighed myself I can feel that I am (or will) put it back on.
I went for wegovy this time with bolt. If you want a £40 discount code you can PM me.

I’ve taken my first dose and so far feel fine on it.

Thanks, have you noticed any effects?

Not yet. I was absolutely fine on MJ so I’m hoping this is the same. Ideally I’d like to take the pill so I’m also hoping that when that comes out in the UK being on wegovy will make that an easier transition

I originally tried Ozempic when it first came out, and the side effects were a real killer. Eggy burps, sudden onset shits at inconvenient times, but the appetite suppression was brilliant. But I just couldn’t continue it.
Later I tried Wegovy, and it felt like a bit of a waste of money to me as it just didn’t seem to have an effect, even when I went up a dose or two.
I’m afraid, even with the price increases, it’s Mounjaro all the way for me. It’s effective, without the horrendous side effects. So in the long run more cost effective. Though I do think I’m going to be a lifer, but I have always tended toward obesity so I would rather pay this price than that price!

Was on MJ for about 10 months, lost around 6.5 stone, but went over to Wegovy over Xmas, for 1)cost & 2)was thinking forwards and maintenance, it was like injecting water! Little to no suppression, cravings came back with a vengeance, absolutely hated it, and I say this as someone who had no issues/side effects with MJ. Used it for 1 month, went back to MJ in Jan, but sadly either the rumours of it not being as effective due to ‘watering down’ are true, or something internal with getting used to it again, but struggling to lose anything now for the last 6 weeks 🙁

You would have had to go upto an equivalent dose of mj that you were on. I went from 10mg to 1.7mg and had really strong suppression and satiety for 2 months but by then my ibs symptoms returned, I was bloated and constantly craved carbs and sugar and as a previous prediabetic never wanted to go back so went back to mj rather than go up to 2.4mg.
