Mounjaro at lower BMI

Has anyone tried Mounjaro who is a lower BMI ie 26/27? I’ve seen that prescribing criteria has changed with some providers so I am now eligible to order it. I’m a small frame and an apple shape so I carry all my weight on my tummy and look bigger than my weight suggests, and I worry about the impact on my health. I would like to lose about 15kg. I struggle to lose weight and stick to a diet so I’m hoping this would give me the extra help I need. But I am scared a bit of the side effects. If anyone has any experience would be great to hear it.

My bmi is 30. I ordered wegovy, uploaded photos & paid for it. It was reviewed and I got an email saying that a medical expert had refused the treatment , offered w.l pills instead.
So it may all go through and then once reviewed it could be refunded back again.

Are you in the UK? Didn't think we had the pills yet

@VividDeer the pills will be Orlistat or MySimba which are not GLP1 pills and have been around for a while.

How are you getting on now OP? Im similar to you and starting my MJ 2.5mg tomorrow, nervous and excited!

So far so good. I’m getting some suppression, and definitely eating less than usual. I am focusing a lot on protein and veg, usually I am a carb fiend but am finding it easy to have smaller portions of rice, pasta, bread etc.

in terms of side effects I’ve had a little bit of nausea and some abdominal discomfort (kind of like a bloated/trapped wind pain). Otherwise I’ve felt normal.

I hope you are feeling okay and managed to do your first jab!

I see med express is now also offering this to bmi 25, so looks like more pharmacies will now offer this.

I am BMI 27 and took Wegovy 2 years ago to lose 5 stone but I’ve gained some back and I’ve been approved by Med express. I have visible abdominal fat so it wasn’t hard to get approved with a real photo

MJ is expensive and I was unsure whether to try it. I expect I can swap if I stay with med express if I need to. It doesn’t seem to be the most expensive provider for either wegovy or MJ
