Maintenance providers

SexyFrenchDepression · 21/02/2026 15:17

I am about half a stone from my target weight, currently just under BMI 23.

I have been looking through old threads re maintenance but doesnt look like there are many with up to date info.

Just wondered if anyone can recommend good providers for maintenance with low regular prices. I have a bit of a stock pile so want to start spreading out purchasing to maybe 6 weeks +.

Currently I've got 5mg pens but not gone higher than 3.75mg so dont have an issue with buying 2.5mg pens if I have a gap but just not 100% sure how it all works, do I need to have purchased from a provider previously in order to buy for maintenance purposes? I have been switching a lot to get best prices.

Have you looked on the Mounjaro Price Comparison website? They have a list of maintenance friendly pharmacies, retail and discount prices.

Thanks, yes I had a quick look on there and there are a good amount to choose from but just wondered how easy it is to switch to a new provider when BMI is around 21/22. I know ones such as MedExpress wont always prescribe to new people once in a healthy BMI, and in fact stop providing to current customers.

I am currently maintaining at around BMI 22.5 still using up my stash from buying multiple higher dose pens before the price increase. Like you I never had to go high - 5mg was my max and lost over 4 stone.

I bought one final extra pen at new prices with Swift doctor quite purposely to get ‘on their books’ and confirmed with them in writing that I can have a break of up to 12 months and still restart - as long as above bmi 21. I plan to taper down until I run out and then see how it goes. If I need to restart I know I can. Even if I don’t feel the need if I get to 11 months I will order a pen to restart the clock. I don’t ever want to be in a position where I have to be obese again to qualify.

I also hear good things about Pharmulous for maintenance.

Mysticmaiden · 21/02/2026 17:29

Oushk, pharmulous and swift Dr are best for maintenance. Oushk was the original maintenance supporting pharmacy.

Keepitrealnomists · 21/02/2026 17:52

Bolt prescribe to bmi 21 and offer maintenance, others include Oushk and medexpress.

SexyFrenchDepression · 21/02/2026 18:06

Thanks, thats really helpful info.

@Keepitrealnomists a few people have said they've been cut off from MedExpress once down to about BMI 24 even when they've been ordering regularly. I have ordered from them previously though.

I moved from MedExpress to oushk. I am on their conti plan which I think gives me money off their normal prices (I managed to order before selecting a plan but I did get £20 off with a code they sent which they seem to do periodically). Their website isn’t as easy as MedExpress but my bmi got too low for MedExpress. After I got through all the questions and photos my first order arrived right on time.

Keepitrealnomists · 21/02/2026 18:29

What bmi will medexpress let you go to? Just seen 24

Edited

I read on another post when I was searching about maintenance info that they refuse under 24. Most seem to go to 20-22, some 19. My aim would be to get to 20.5-21, then maintain within a few lbs of that.

SexyFrenchDepression · 21/02/2026 18:47

Swift and Pharmulus seem to have really good normal prices, Bolt has great discount price but quite a bit more after that. Which ever one I go for I'll order from next so then can use them for maintenance, I will be due to order next week so will still be over BMI 22 then unless a big miracle happens. I may drink a large glass of water before weighing myself to help out😂

I’m using Pharmulous. Have had 10mg pens about every 5 weeks since the price went up in September. My BMI is about 23 and I never have any hassle ordering from them. No photos or queries since the initial switch.

I have a stockpile of almost 4 pens and would like to take a break from ordering but am too nervous too in case they won’t let me restart. I think they do let you do that but I would have to go back to 2.5mg and I needed up to 15mg to lose the weight so ending up back at 2.5mg seems scary. I currently take 10mg but dropped to 7.5mg earlier in my maintenance. My stockpile is not currently increasing as I space out my order to 5 weeks but if I start taking less I will increase the stockpile.

Keepitrealnomists · 21/02/2026 19:28

Ive been on MJ for a long time and never evwn heard of Pharmulous, im going to check them out as I need a long term affordable prescription..

I have about 3 or 4 pens as I had some discount codes so ordered a few and have been taking 2.5 or 3.75 from 5mg pens. I definitely want to reduce the frequency of my orders but my fears are the same as yours, although I'd be happy to go down to 2.5mg. I am not sure how my maintenance will work really as I still lose weight on 2.5mg however have no side effects now so potentially will be able to maintain on that dose as will just eat more.

Do people actually take less than 2.5mg to maintain? I am not sure it would even work? If I could successfully maintain on 1.25mg I will order 2.5mg pens as not sure I should stretch out a 5mg for that long.

I originally used Oushk for my maintenance but ordering isn’t an easy process, so I got fed up and left.

I now use Curely. They accepted me as a maintenance customer, with a BMI of 22. I’m on a subscription plan and can pause it whenever I want. I buy a 7.5mg pen, but only take 5mg as it’s more cost effective. I have had 2/3 months gap in between orders (you can pause online) and it has been fine. I explained I had several pens from previous suppliers (which is true).

I like the idea of a subscription plan, less chance of being refused at a low BMI.

My last 2 pens have been from Get A Drip. First pen was £130 and my most recent was £150.

Very easy process even at a BMI of 22.

IwanttoWFH · 21/02/2026 20:14

It’s a specific maintenance subscription plan. I just needed proof of previous orders and was really easy to set up. I’m really impressed with their service. Orders always arrive quickly and are really well packaged.

I havent tried them yet, their prices are good though. Do you know if they have a maintenance with less regular ordering required?

I use oushk as they give an extra £25 off their website prices if in maintenance, often give 1p delivery and do reward points on orders. They have a flexi plan so you can come off and rejoin whenever, pharmulous amd swift do it with a 12 month rejoin limit, oushk is life long.

MerryGuide · 21/02/2026 22:28

Are there any time limits on some of these? My understanding for med express was 2 years in total but I've not checked in over a year.

No I think you are talking about how long someone can be on WLI, for mounjaro there is no limit. I think the 2 years referred to wegovy if I'm correct. Maintenance has been approved for use long term I.e. life long.

I guess it depends on how sensitive you are to Mounjaro. I needed to go up to 15mg to keep losing weight so maintenance for me on 7.5-10mg is still a reduced dose. If you lost weight on 2,5mg and never needed to go higher, a maintenance dose might be 1.25-2mg. Which is much cheaper!

If it helps, I’m maintaining on 1.33mg and find it effective (both medicine’s effect and cost).

Thats great, thank you. Are you just buying a 2.5mg pen and using it for more weeks?
