Good evening lovlies

As the title says I need a reality check, Currently 2 doses in to mj and I feel rough, can't quite put my finger on it but I just don't feel 'right'

Can you tell me some of the sides effects you have encountered so i can stop spiraling?

I had nausea, headaches as tended to clench my jaw, felt wiped out for a day or 2 after injection and suffered bad heartburn, but gaviscon dual action tablets helped. It worked though and I lost 5 stone. 11 months after last dose I have put about 1 stone back on. I have recently stopped alcohol etc to help me get back in control and lose that bit again.

Nausea like morning sickness, heartburn, reflux, churning belly, constipation, headaches - as time went on, i would get light headed and dizzy a long story short, I wasn’t eating enough protein or drinking enough water.

Electrolytes, high protein - even if that was the only thing I ate, a really good multi-vitamin supplement, 3 litres of water a day. Some days you do have to force feed, scramble egg worked well for me with liquid egg whites (carton from shops), cooked chicken in the fridge, Greek yoghurt etc

it can be tough going but does get better!

I am on week 17 - have lost 30lbs and have 11 more to go.
I felt extremely fatigued after the first couple of jabs then was fine.
But moved up to 5mg last month and have had 2 bouts of vomiting and been very dizzy when exercising.
I need to eat more before doing so apparently. And am thinking electrolytes too will help.

I found they helped me - I get one that has 20g carbs and 20g protein in as well which helps when I workout. I found going up the doses was always rough but I’ve been on 15mg for a while now and honestly don’t get many side affects if any at all.

Atalosswhat2do · 14/02/2026 19:00

I felt knackered the day after jab day for the first 3 weeks and that’s been it. 5 months in and over 3st lost I feel amazing. I did have daily headaches for 2 years before taking MJ and those stopped 2 days after my first jag. 🤷🏻‍♀️

WeAllHaveWings · 14/02/2026 19:06

I felt really wiped out the first couple of months, might have been the medication, possibly due to lack of calories until the initial suppression settled down/ drastic change of diet (complete aversion to Pepsi max so no caffeine, minimal sugar and carbs - maybe a kind of detoxing!), possibly sluggish due to constipation.

But it all passed (excuse the pun) after those first two months.

Weightloss2026 · 14/02/2026 19:13

Thanks for the replies everyone, you have settled my mind a bit! I have health anxiety anyway so every slightest pain and I'm thinking the worst! I've just been out and bought electrolytes and gaviscon tablets so hopefully those help!
I'm hoping after the next few doses the siee effects settle down as I don't know how long I can go on feeling like this

The I’m sure you’ll be fine, try not to worry. And make sure you’re eating light healthy foods and drinking extra water - it seems to make a real difference. I hadn’t had any side effects in five weeks until one lunchtime I ate a bowl of creamy pasta and a glass of wine and that afternoon I felt horrendous. I’ve heard similar from many other people.

OneSparklyLittleStar · 14/02/2026 19:24

Hi.
I took my 2nd 5mg yesterday and I'm feeling really ill. Really bad nausea and dizziness. After reading through this though I think im not eating enough. I'm vegetarian so need to up my protein game. Good luck everyone x

Weightloss2026 · 14/02/2026 20:40

Right now my stomach feels really heavy and im getting what feels like shooting pains, and the right side of my chest feels achy, is this normal? The last time I ate was around 3pm (ish)

That’s how I feel when I’m dehydrated. Try drinking some water and eating some cheese and toast? Or beans on toast?

whatnexxt · 14/02/2026 20:46

Why have you not eaten?

Overtheatlantic · 14/02/2026 20:49

Are you constipated? I’ve found psyllium husk supplements to be very helpful with that particular problem. And eat as much protein as you can. Chicken breasts in the oven with light seasoning is my go to.

SilenceInside · 14/02/2026 20:50

I would plan to eat 3 nutritious healthy meals each day and not skip or eat at odd times. Right now, I’d eat something smallish, simple and easily digestible that’s protein based. Maybe scrambled eggs or omelette.

I think you’re hyper focussing on your body and any potentially unusual sensation and then worrying that it’s some kind of side effect symptom. When it’s in all likelihood absolutely not.

This. Also, in the early days I used to keep a bottle of chocolate milk (not the revolting protein shake stuff, just normal chocolate milk) in the fridge. If I didn't feel like eating, I would have a small glass to keep me going. But your best bet is to focus on small, protein based meals. Chicken salad is my go to if I'm feeling a bit ropey.
