Wegovy - increase dose or stay with 0.25?

I started WG on 2nd Jan, basically zero side effects at all. Week 1 I lost 10lb, then 2lb last week and I’ve just done my 3rd dose. I need to decide what to do for my next pen but I’m not sure ether to stick at 0.25 or increase to 0.5.
Food wise I’m eating much less- an average day is either a porridge sachet, a small portion of veg soup or 4 crab sticks and some crackers for lunch, then our usual evening meal but a smaller portion and focussing on the veg and protein with less carbs. Weekends are a little different but still not over eating.
My tastes/feeling towards food has definitely changed, for example I’m totally off tea, coffee and fizzy drinks despite previously drinking gallons of all 3!
I’m feeling hungry at times but often not fancying anything in particular, and previously I would eat out of habit rather than hunger and that’s been easier to curb. My weight day to day seems to fluctuate by the same lb or 2 and really I’m surprised I lost anything last week after seeing the daily changes (and sometimes increases!) I feel like I’m going to be the only person in the world to gain weight on WLI!
I don’t want to order the lower dose and regret it, but I also don’t want to risk unnecessary side effects by increasing.
Any advice please?

I would say increase your protein, you need approx 0.8g protein per kg body weight to minimise muscle mass or you'll end up with saggy skin and a higher body fat percentage. Muscle burns more cals too. I track all my food on myfitnesspal app and you can use tdeecalculator.net to work out your daily calories. Crackers, soup and crab sticks don't have much protein in them. Think cottage cheese, nuts or high protein yoghurt as snacks. I have a protein shake for breakfast. Try and have protein for lunch and dinner too like chicken and veg or egg or fish. This will help drop the weight especially with low carbs. You could always buy the 0.5 pen and decide to stick to 0.25 by counting clicks so you give yourself half a dose by moving the pen top round half way. Then when you are ready to go upto 0.5 you can do that. I'm on 1.7 and have been 2 months but I reduce the dose slightly as its too strong. From what I remember there's not much price difference between 0.25 and 0.5. You will need to buy more 4mm needles if you decide to click count but they are cheap. I think asda and boots sell them but I buy from SHD medical £11 for 100, you may find them cheaper elsewhere.

This is super helpful, thank you for taking the time to reply.
I’ll look at ways to add more protein. Every now and then I add a boiled egg but I’ve just not been fancying it so much. cottage cheese is a good shout too.
I’ve been tracking loosely on My Fitness Pal but I’ll try being a little more accurate.

Stay on the lower dose as long as you’re losing weight as long as you can, moving up to soon can give side effects plus costs more.

Thanks for the help, I think I’m going to stay where I am. I’m not confident enough to be counting clicks etc yet, I’d be too worried about ruining the pen!
I’ve been trying to increase my protein too, as well as generally eating a little more as I was barely eating that first week.

I stayed on 0.25 for two pens before moving up. It worked well for me, I knew when I was ready to move up - I was still losing but it was harder to stay on track and I definitely was thinking about food more. At 0.25 I got a little constipated but nothing that eating more fibre didn't sort out - I did feel a bit nauseous a fair bit (bit like morning sickness) but that came and went and eating small healthy snacks helped (and drinking more water). When I moved up to 0.5 I had no side effects, I guess because I stuck to the same habits. I'm just about to start 1.0 - am hoping the same will happen.

It’s Jab4 tomorrow and I can definitely tell! I’m having to work harder to stay on track and I feel like I’m able to eat more than I was at the start, although still not my previous portion size.
I’ve weighed a bit during the week, and by yesterday I’d only lost 0.2lb 😱
