For me, not one biscuit in four months! I used to have at least a couple every afternoon before. Also no cravings for fish & chips which would be my takeaway weakness.
What a miracle this medication is 🥳

I’ve been on Mounjaro for over 18 months now and can go weeks/months between biscuits, fizzy drinks, cake/desserts, chocolate as they are just not really on my radar anymore but still have a single biscuit, or a couple of cubes of chocolate occasionally.

Thinking about it I don’t think I have had any sweets - haribo, skittles, jelly babies, pastilles type sweets the entire time.

Sweets are my go to still lol!

Kazzaa46 · 11/01/2026 16:12

Up until the end of month 3 I couldn’t bear the thought of eating chocolate despite previous having a sweet tooth, pastry or alcohol.

From the start of month 4, I can eat or drink anything but I’ve been on the same dose for the last 3 months and am aware that’s probably because it’s time for me to increase my dose now.

Pizza, bacon, things with cheese, fizzy drinks and white pasta ( do have wholemeal now and then)

PurpleCoo · 11/01/2026 20:55

I think I have eaten most things, it's just extremely rarely. So I have maybe had bacon twice in 11 months, and that was when I had a couple of pigs in blankets.

I don't really eat UPFs now. The sight of all the processed party food turned my stomach. Same with greasy/fried food, but I have still had fish and chips a handful of times when at the seaside

Returning to this thread; my adult dc (living at home) had a takeaway last night. We looked at our delivery apps and realised none of us had had a takeaway since first week in November. I started taking mounjaro on November 10th! So it's affecting all of us. Saving money.

Also one weird thing, although I've had it, I'm using a lot less garlic than usual. Used to put it so many things. Someone having garlic bread in the house when I was on a diet previously was ultimate torture!! What with my love of garlic, butter and bread.

Ineedanewsofa · 11/01/2026 21:29

Ice cream/ice lollies, used to have something after dinner every day now hardly eat dessert at all.
I’m 6 months in and generally have most things, I’ve learned to eat normal sized portions instead of the massive ones I was eating before. Even if I am still a little hungry when I stop eating I know what the right amount of food is and that if I have more I will be uncomfortable later on. I’m hopeful that means when I do come off my brain will be retrained to those portion sizes and not my previous ones 🤞🏻

Nutella. Pre MJ I would eat it from the jar with a spoon every, single day! Even having spread it on toast for my son, I wipe any wee bits I get on my hands, don't even lick it.😲

Shmoigel · 11/01/2026 23:38

Full fat coke
Chinese chicken balls
Big macs
Ben and Jerries.
No Greggs

none appeal to me any more

only eaten bread once every few weeks
Barely any pizza

Redlightbulb · 12/01/2026 00:20

In 17 months:

No pizza or alcohol.

Not a good thing but excluding the odd few grapes only 4-5 pieces of fruit. It just doesn't appeal. I am never really hungry / ravenous anymore & I used to eat fruit to avoid the naughty stuff.

3 takeaways total (Chinese, fish & chips, burger & chips)

Pasta! Haven't had pasta for over a year and it was one of my fave foods. I had some early on into WLI journey and it gave me the ick, not had it since!

Same! I only started in November but I used to love pasta, the thought of it makes me feel sick now

chipsticksmammy · 12/01/2026 10:28

Anything with a lot of onions and garlic. I can taste it for days afterwards so stopped eating it.

Disturbia81 · 12/01/2026 16:05

Wow it sounds like magic, interesting how it puts people off the food that makes us gain weight

Popcornandbeetroot · 12/01/2026 17:00

Anything that’s high in gluten - breads, pizza, pasta, biscuits, pastries - I just don’t fancy it, also fish and chips, take aways UPF that’s high in fat/salt/sugar. Because of the slow digestion it’s more comfortable to eat plenty of veggies/fruit salads baked fish, chicken. Some dairy is ok, a lot of water, herbal teas. Treats like popcorn & a bit of dark chocolate are nice 👌

After 18 months I think I’ve had a bit of everything that I used to eat. A big difference is that we don’t really order takeaways at all anymore, so I haven’t had any takeaway Indian or Chinese over that time, although I have eaten out at a Chinese restaurant once or twice.

The main difference is that I don’t seek out high calorie, high sugar, high fat foods all the time! So I couldn’t care less about ice cream, chocolate, desserts in general. I might try a bit of something when out, but I wouldn’t order any for myself or buy things in my weekly shop.

Agree with this, also haven’t had any takeaways in 9 months, but did have a handful of Dh chips when he had some. I still eat out but am less likely to get a takeaway just for the hell of it.
