Nevolat

Any new starters on Nevolat/Saxenda? I lost most of the weight I needed to lose in 2024/25 on Mounjaro, & was maintaining well at a BMI of 28, but I put on 8lbs over November/December this year & had some very unpleasant sugar frenzies when I couldn't stop eating, which I used to have all the time but had stopped since MJ. Nevolat attracted me because of the price (£150 from Asda for five pens which last 35 days at daily max dose & obviously potentially a lot longer) & because it's a daily injection, so it's 1 week rather than 1 month to step up & down doses, maybe easier for maintenance use. In 1st week, some mild nausea & constipation, which I manage with fybogel, & definitely less food noise, hurrah! Looking good so far.

I’ve been wondering this. The accountability of daily appeals. Anyone else got experience?

I've stepped up to the lowest effective dose (1.2mg), & feel quite nicely appetite suppressed. It is such a relief to enjoy a light meal & feel full & not worry that I'll just want more & more. Two tips: I've heard some say that they microdose by injecting every 48 hours. If you go longer than 48 hours it's back to the start. The other is that the pens have a reasonable shelf life. Mine won't expire till September, so if you do want to come on & off, use a lower dose, or microdose you have time.
