I know that's what I am paying lots of money for. But I feel quite sick much of the time and really have no hunger at all. I can't be bothered to cook and I eat very few vegetables or fruit. Or protein. I've even gone off tea. And Im now fretting about my hair falling out!!

Ive been on Wegovy for 4 months and have just moved up to 1mg. I'm a bit miserable. Do things get better?

@Pineneedlesincarpet your thinking of all the negative things not the reason your on it like loosing weight and looking great good luck I start 1mg this week

It’s not necessary to move up doses, and you can move back down again if you are feeling nauseous a lot and struggling to eat.

BeardedBarley · 05/01/2026 08:25

Stay on the dose you’re on - it’s not essential to go up. Take a multi vitamin/mineral
supplement.

Try to eat soup, yogurt and drink lots of water. I’m struggling with my appetite right now, 5 months in to Mounjaro, so I’m eating small and often.

Doses can be reduced too. It’s essential you eat healthily, take a multivitamin as well. Get proper medical care not just opinions online, you health is paramount

How long have you been on it OP? Some people find everything settles down after a few weeks so it might be worth persevering. I had the constant feeling of nausea on Mounjaro and after 6 weeks, I decided to lower the dose. I’m much better now but I only shifted down once if given it time to settle.

In terms of eating, you should really, really try to get your calories in. Drink protein shakes if you have to. If you’re not getting enough calories or protein, you can end up with muscle loss and that ‘shrunken’ look, not to mention you’ll feel ghastly too.

Aldi and Lidl do a nice range of protein foods - shakes, desserts etc and I think you can also get high protein soups too. Eating little and often helped me with the nausea. Drinking lots of water is essential too.

Goodness, it’s right there on the op, 4 months.

op, reduce your dose, it sounds like you’re on a too high one.

Ive been on it 4 months and 1mg for a week. Not to give too much unpleasant detail but I am currently wrestling with horrible sulphur burps throughout the night which I read are to do with digestion slowing down. I don't really know what I can be digesting!! Im also avoiding going out eg to friends houses for supper which is a bit rubbish. But I just won't be able to eat! And that adds to my gloom.

I will get some protein shakes. Thank you. I've always eaten well (too much obviously and also bad things too). But always managed to get healthy things down my neck so it's a bit of a change. Will take multivitamin.

And yes I need to focus on the positive side which is the weightloss which is actually going quite well.
