Refused repeat prescription due to BMI

DontLookBackInHunger · 29/12/2025 10:29

I need another prescription and thought should try a new supplier as the price difference is massive. They have sent me a rejection due to my BMI. My BMI is 28, and it is 28 because I have been taking Mounjaro! I’m still 10kg above a healthy weight for my age and height.
Am I constrained to use the same supplier whatever the price? Or do people lie? Seems a bit silly given I have proven already to have a prescription.

perhaps try with another supplier?

Overtheatlantic · 29/12/2025 10:55

You might need to provide proof that you have been on Mounjaro and that’s the reason for your current lower BMI.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 29/12/2025 11:05

There are suppliers that take maintainers/those nearing the lower end of BMI. Think they are listed on that Monji comparison site. I always take pictures of my boxes if I moved suppliers. It’s a pain moving though.

BarLines · 29/12/2025 11:07

Which supplier? Are you giving them details of previous prescriptions?

Foottapper1 · 29/12/2025 11:30

Have you proved you've been on it before? Ie. Given them photos of your boxes, did you fill in the forms stating you'd already been on mounjaro? Seems odd. If your bmi was 22 or so but not 28,either get in touch with them again and explain, it may be an oversight, or try another company such as oushk or lotus, who would I think happily accept you at that bmi.

SilenceInside · 29/12/2025 11:30

I’ve changed suppliers with no issue. You just state that you are already taking Mounjaro and provide evidence of the previous prescriptions. Which prescriber was it that turned you down?

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 29/12/2025 11:39

On the consultation form, tick the box that says you are already taking a glp1 medication. You’ll then need to provide proof via photos of prescription labels etc. Most pharmacies will take on new patients to a much lower bmi than 28 (note that a couple won’t so depends on who you have tried!)

DontLookBackInHunger · 29/12/2025 11:56

yes I definitely said i was already on the medication, and sent proof of my last prescription. It was pharmacy2u

I’m with pharmacy2u and am heading towards a bmi of 28, I think it’s time for me to look for an alternative too

DontLookBackInHunger · 29/12/2025 13:51

Are we good to order from suppliers we don’t know… examples from Monj include Get A Drip, IQ Doctor, Fella Health, Hey Slim and Pill Time.
All good or do we risk receiving fake product?

Check their rating on trust pilot

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 29/12/2025 14:10

If they are on Monj they are supposed to be legit.

i can recommend Lotus - and share a code if you need it…. I switched to them below bmi 27 and no issues.

Housewife2010 · 29/12/2025 14:15

I ordered for the first time with IQ doctor earlier this month. My BMI is now 25.8. I had to have photos of myself, my passport & my current MJ box showing my prescription (from Zava) and there was no problem.

SilenceInside · 29/12/2025 14:15

They will be legit but that doesn’t stop them being a bit rubbish in terms of customer service, responsiveness etc. So always worth reading the Trust Pilot reviews and checking the most recent GPhC inspection report for pharmacies you’re interested in.

Kazzaa46 · 29/12/2025 20:16

I switched to cloud pharmacy with BMI 25, they just required a photo of my current box with the sticker to show I was already prescribed it plus a photo of me at my current weight.

PurpleCoo · 30/12/2025 08:16

I switch every pen and my BMI is 25.something now. I always send proof of previous prescriptions and have had no problems.

I just use whatever providers seems the cheapest on monj.co.uk that I haven't used before to get new customers prices

Switching also helps when you use your own for more than 4 weeks and need to order less frequently

Try CheqUp... that's who I use
