Hello,

I've started on Wegovy this morning, 7 stone to lose until a healthy weight and have never managed to achieve this in my adult life.

Anyone else starting today/this month?

I'm quite hungry today and just had a chicken kebab, I don't ever have any sauce with it so basically meat and bread. Not the worst I know but I am feeling like I need something sweet now which I've not felt the last few days after jabbing on Tuesday!

Going to try get my steps in tomorrow and Sunday since work has finished for the week before weighing in on Monday.

One thing I've noticed which happened when I tried MJ is my head doesn't feel as busy. I have a very full on corporate job and a toddler at home so my head is usually full of dodgems banging together but that seems to be calmer.

Wishfulshrinker25 · 15/11/2025 07:03

That's great @Loveab123, I think for me it's also the help with making sensible food decisions rather than not making me want to eat at all, and it sounds like that was you yesterday. Good luck with getting all of your steps in. Interesting about having a calmer head - hope that continues.

Just jabbed myself - went for my leg instead of my stomach - and that was the most painful so far. Still not too bad, but definitely felt it more.

I had a proper greedy day yesterday and could really feel that I was due a jab. I feel incredibly frustrated with myself today but trying to remember that 2 weeks ago, every day was like yesterday and thankfully that's not the case anymore. Onwards and upwards today!

First day yesterday and to be honest appetite and eating wise I didn’t really feel any different to normal. Special k, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, peanut butter on toast mid morning, lentil and veg soup for lunch, apple and nuts mid afternoon, bean, veg and rice burrito for dinner. And a g and t in the evening . That’s pretty normal for me! I was expecting it to make me eat less

SaltwaterSwimmer · 15/11/2025 10:12

I still don’t really feel any different and I’ve not had any side-effects but I lost 2kg this week!
I think this has made me feel more motivated to carry on.

I’m proud of the weight I’ve lost so far but feel like I still have SO much to go!

Loveab123 · 17/11/2025 16:37

Jab day is tomorrow but I'm absolutely starving and have been the last 2 days, so jabbing tonight. Since I didn't suffer too much from side effects last week, I think I'm okay to do it the day before work. 3 pounds off this week which I feel I could easily put back on in a day with how hungry I am!

I've read up on it and it's okay to jab early as long as there's been 72 hours since your last one.

How is everyone else feeling?

Wishfulshrinker25 · 18/11/2025 20:50

How are you a few days in @diggitydoo?

Great news @SaltwaterSwimmer 👏

@Loveab123, I really struggled in the run up to jab day, definitely felt so much less suppression!

I'm doing ok, not great. Making better choices but still don't feel like it's having its full effect yet. Really want to get a bit more of a handle on my afternoon snacking 😳

I’ve been all over the place emotionally and obsessing over calories and weighing myself early and spiralling into “fucked it” mentality when actually it was not really fucked, just in my head, not many side effects although abiT constipated and leg cramps at night, but still eating pretty normally and to be honest could still feel like eating cake 🍰 if I wasn’t so bloody anxious

How are you doing a few days in @diggitydoo?

How's everyone doing?

I have just ordered my second set of pens and am looking forward to upping my dose. Feel like I am eating better and am using chatgpt to track my food so its interesting to see the patterns that are emerging. I'm feeling good and sticking to it in a way that I wouldn't usually be doing 3 weeks later so Wegogy most be doing something right :)

OP posts:
SaltwaterSwimmer · 20/11/2025 14:06

I had my second jab on Monday. I’ve been worried it’s not working but now thinking about it, I’ve not had the cravings that I would usually have had.
I have had a bit of a funny tummy, not sure if that’s related but no other side-effects so far.
I’m doing the Second Nature programme and the app included with that is really good for tracking my weight and steps.
I’d become so sedentary before I started and it had made me so unhappy when I felt I couldn’t join in with things because I struggled to walk far.
I’ve set my step target to increase by 500 steps a day each week… I’m up to 5000 steps a day now.

Wishfulshrinker25 · 24/11/2025 21:46

Great work on the steps @SaltwaterSwimmer!

How's everyone else doing?
Hope everyone is doing well! :)

Hi, hope you're ok @Wishfulshrinker25

Almost 4 weeks in for me, golden dose next 🤞 12.4lb off in 3.5 weeks so was really happy with that. Feeling a little bit hungry today but not on a stressful way and it feels so nice to look forward to dinner!

Have been brave and gone for a provider switch today, ordered from Lotus with £40 off, they sound really good for maintenance as opposed to MedExpress who I have heard bad reports from. They offered some money off when I didnt reorder from them but less than £40. I may get the odd pen from them if its a good deal. They do referal £40 offer also if anyone is looking around.

SaltwaterSwimmer · 26/11/2025 18:09

@SexyFrenchDepression Well done, you must be so pleased with your loss so far!
Can I ask how much you have to lose?
I’m on jab 3 this week and not sure it’s working, I don’t really feel my appetite is any different to before I started the jabs (I’d already been on my ‘diet’ for about 6 weeks before I started the jabs so was already used to eating less).
I’m hoping that the increased dose will be more noticeable.

My starting weight was 12st, current weight 11st 1.6, healthy BMI is around 10st7 for me I think but really for my frame a stone less than that looks better on me. I am 5ft4 but a small build.

I have seen that a few people on other threads take till 10mg to feel any different, 2.5mg isnt necessarily supposed to work, just to get you used to it but in my 1st week I only managed 500-800 cals a day, much more normal now and have 800-1000 generally.

SexyFrenchDepression · 27/11/2025 09:39

Have posted on the other Nov starter thread but just in case its useful information for people.

I did golden dose this morning. Used insulin syringe. It was so easy. Wiped red tip of pen with wipe, inserted needle and pushed 0.6ml ish of air into pen then syringed remaining liquid out. Got 0.7ml out (roughly 2.9mg) but would have been more but I made a balls-up of priming as couldnt see any liquid coming out then accidentally pushed out loads! But either way its a slight step but before I try 3.75mg next week from my 5ml pen.

I will already have a stock of 2 x 5ml pens today, my order with Lotus was done so quickly, consultation done yesterday and approved, being delivered in next couple of hours.

Definitely felt more back to normal this last couple of days, was nice to feel a bit hungry and just not be stressed about eating.

13.2lb off now, 0.8lb till that 1st amazing milestone!

Wishfulshrinker25 · 29/11/2025 10:41

Well done @SexyFrenchDepression, that's great going! Are you on MJ?

@SaltwaterSwimmer, I feel the same as you! Paticularly this week, as it's been my 4th dose of 0.25mg, and I really have felt a bit flat about it all...as well as not able to afford it if it's not working! I did some research (and spoke to Chat GPT 🤣) and it says that people have the most success on either 0.5mg or 1mg. I've taken my fifth jab today (first at 0.5mg) so hopefully will be able to report more success this week! 🤞

OP posts:
SexyFrenchDepression · 29/11/2025 10:44

@Wishfulshrinker25 yes on MJ. I did apply for 1 pharmacy for wegovy first but got refused. Then I spoke to someone who has tried both and said MJ had quicker results so I tried for that with another pharmacy and got accepted. My hope is that I will have to be on it less time so cost wise will be better 🤞

I know I have to manage my expectations more for the next month as wont lose as quick but it has given me a real confidence boost as my clothes arent digging in so much now! That first stone doesnt notice that much so hopefully the next one will make me look half decent in my clothes!

@Wishfulshrinker25 you’re a few weeks ahead of me, 3rd 0.25 jab due tonight but just ordered my next pen at 0.5 so interested to see how you’re getting on. Have you had any negative side effects since moving up a dose?

Wegogo · 09/12/2025 13:45

Hi, bit late to the party but would love to join you, started wegovy mid November. About to move up to 0.5mg tomorrow, hoping not too many side effects

How are you finding the 0.5?

SaltwaterSwimmer · 10/12/2025 16:30

Hi. Hope everyone is doing ok?
I moved up to 0.5 on Monday. Still no side effects and I’m still not sure it’s having much effect.
Is anyone else finding this?

I've had no side effects really other than tiredness, but I wonder if this is linked to the time of year/all of the bugs too. How's it going for you?

Yay, another person in the same boat!
How are you finding it? Has 0.5mg been ok for you?
It's been fine for me symptom-wise but I am frustrated with the speed of weight loss. Having said that, I did deliberately pick Wegovy for a slower pace of losing weight so I'm less likely to yoyo in the future, but I'm hoping 1mg will be better for me.
