Any tips for avoiding side effects

Hi all,

I'm starting MJ in a week's time with a goal of losing about four stone in total.

I'm a little concerned about side effects, especially as I have an intense period of work with a lot of travel over the next few months. Does anyone have any advice for managing / avoiding them? I am specifically thinking upset stomach and nausea as I tend to be prone to these anyway. Are there specific foods to avoid in your experience? And do medications like Imodium help with symptoms if needed?

TIA for any advice from those who have been there.

Greasy, fatty, ultra processed foods seem to be the main culprit.

I eat clean, whole foods, nothing ultra processed and I haven't had any side effects at all. I once had fish and chips that sat really heavy the next day, but nothing awful. On MJ I find I don't want unhealthy foods really, so it was easily managed. 8 months in, and I am obsessed with beans and pulses, and am not really fussed about meat.

Further down the line, don't rush up the doses. That seems to be the other way people are more likely to experience significant symptoms. I would advise only increasing when the current dose is no longer working very well.

Some people don’t have any side effects, you might be lucky.

I take mine on a Friday night so I have the weekend at home to cope with the side effects.

It’s headache, nausea and feeling just rough.

Its first dose only though for me, the next 3 weeks I’m absolutely fine.
Side effects last around 2-3 days.

I can't eat late - anything past 6ish means I'm going to have a long night of heartburn.

Eating little and often helps keep blood sugars steady and also drink plenty of water. I do higher protein and lower carbs and I've never had constipation or sulphur burps etc and I went up to 15mg and now back down to 7.5mg having been on it 13 months. Try to eat enough too as some barely eat to lose quicker but can get side effects that way.

80 percent pf people have no side effects. Eat clean. Low fat. Low carb, lots of protein, veg, salad etc and hopefully you’re fine.
