Mounjaro to wegovy...how much are you saving?

I'm thinking of trying wegovy but am wondering how much do you actually save compared to mj? I've heard that the highest dose of wegovy is only equivalent to 7.5mg not sure if this is right? And you only get 4 doses in wegovy.

Can anyone who has switched telly me what dose they switched to, how is it going and how much you have saved?

I'm currently swapping pharmacies most months for the cheapest price, I'm on 10mg of MJ and paying around £230

I've switched from 10mg to 1.7mg wegovy, wegovy cost me £135 delivered from Oushk. My 10mg pens were all pre price rise and at the time I paid 143 for each but obviously they're all a lot more now. 1mg wegovy was £105. Haven't started using it yet as finishing my 10mg pens first.

It's hard to just find the prices on the websites without having to fill all your details in! I want to make the switch too.

They're all on www.igovy.co.uk the sister site to www.monj.co.uk.
The prices on individual websites should be visible without filling in any details. Also most offer discounts on top of published prices like extra sales and discounts.
Also OP mounjaro pens will be going to 4 doses too.
Also when you say equivalent to 7.5mg do you mean dose wise suppression etc? I've heard good results on 1mg-2.4mg depends what M dose they switched from. Someone on 0.25mg has lost 2lbs in first week. Some prescribers allow you to switch to a higher dose rather than start at bottom.

Thank you for the site! Just what I was looking for!
(It was OP asking about doses.)

I've heard that the highest dose of wegovy is only equivalent to 7.5mg not sure if this is right?

It isn't quite that straightforward. The pharmacies are saying they are equivalent in terms of their trial results for % weight loss rather than strength/effects. So 7.5mg of Mounjaro had similar % weight loss in trials as 2.4mg Wegovy.

15mg has something like 22% weight loss and I have lost >40% and I haven't even done 5mg! I am not that unusual, many have done the same. Trials are just trials, individual results, effects and expectations of the medication will vary greatly.

Some pharmacies have also thought patients build up a tolerance to GLP1 so can start transfer on a higher dose with a lower risk of side effects.

They are both GLP1 but different drugs (and Mounjaro has the added GIP), so it is a bit like comparing paracetamol and ibuprofen - for some people one can be more/less effective than the other at relieving pain.
