WLI subscription that doesn't automatically increase the dose?

Hello Mumsnet collective, I would like to restart WLI after a year off. I found the weight loss successful, but I felt the dose increases were beyond what I needed towards the end and cancelled my subscription. There didn't appear to be a way to maintain or reduce the dose I was being sent, with the dosages being too effective and the loss / secondary side effects too great. Any help is gratefully appreciated.

Is there a reason you want a subscription model rather than just ordering pens as and when you need them?

I honestly thought / think there is only subscription? As you have to be vetted to order in the first place....so there is an alternative?

Most of the pharmacies aren't subscription - you order your first pen with all the checks etc, then when you need another one you reorder, either at the same dose or the next one up. Much more control that way.

Fab - thank you for the clarity. I'm off to research Wegovy / non-subscription options

Monj.co.uk has a list of companies that allow restaters. I picked up Swift Doctor from there. Am impressed with them so far. No obligation to increase dose at all.

Medexpress don’t up the dose automatically. They’re not the only ones that don’t.

You can't order as and when you want though, there has to be a gap of no more than about 4 to 6 weeks, I mean you can chop and change between providers, but you have to order regularly or go back down to 2.5. I ordered up only because I knew I was going to come off eventually, then stashed them and took a smaller dose from the bigger pens, it worked out a, because I never needed to go above 5,and b, it was before the price hikes so much much cheaper overall.

I’ve been on the same dose, no need to increase. Not sure who you were using before. I’m using Swift and they recommend the lowest effective dose, it’s not a subscription model, just order the pen you want, their pharmacist checks it and it arrives.
