Tweakments during and after Mounjaro

having chosen face previously in the whole arse v face decision, but now having chosen arse, I’ve been steadily trying various interventions to manage the effect of weight loss on my face and neck.
i thought I’d create a thread on here to discuss Tweakments, experiences and results with fellow travellers….

I had my first Botox about a year ago and unfortunately I do metabolise very quickly - could be Mounjaro- I’d not done anything at all anti-aging before apart from spf and tret so I’ve been on quite a research journey.
to support my skin during weight loss I’ve had the following:
Botox - will continue
PRP - will continue
microneedling - will continue
skin boosters - will continue- used Lumi Pro and trying x2 profilho this month.
I would say I’ve lost volume around the middle of my face and have some skin laxity there.
its been a really gradual loss but it’s definitely there now.
my neck is middling. I think microneedling and moisturising has definitely helped here.

I've found that it has all settled by itself naturally. I've lost nearly 50 kgs so my face has totally changed. I also got a bit of a crepey neck. It is now showing good signs of improvement and all I do is moisturise twice a day.

I seem to recall reading that it can take up to two years for your body/skin to adjust to big weight loss and that you should wait for that to pass before having surgical intervention. I have no idea of the truth in this, as I cannot remember where it came from.

Also, don't underestimate your hormones. Peri/meno plays havoc as estrogen levels decline.

I only really understand Botox out of your list. The key is slow weight loss, protein for muscle building and strength training/weight lifting.

Not sure about the face. I notice a slight wobble of neck skin the other day, but my skin routine is to wash my face in the shower and occasionally moisturise (usually sun cream).

I have always had lots of comments on my skin too (positive!).

I can’t be arsed with stuff like Botox. I’m not young anymore and that’s fine. Aging is a privilege.

I believe that there’s an issue for some people due to metabolism using Mounjaro. I seem to have it to!

I’m not planning any surgery but want to keep looking as good as I can for as long as I can.
unfortunately I work in an industry that denotes youth with ability!

Any recommendations on what serums/creams to use on neck area? I keep seeing adverts for Boost Lab neck serum, has anyone tried this?

I’ve not. I just use rye same as I use on my face. I am more committed though!
