if you usually dye your hair but you're struggling with hair loss, are you still dying it? My roots look awful but I'm scared of angering it! Does anyone have any experience? TIA

Ah yes I have this battle.

I have lost so much hair and I didn’t have much to begin with. The first time I noticed it actually was when I was rinsing dye out and big clumps came out in my hands so it has made me very reluctant to dye as often as I once did.
I have been using semi permanent colours which are a bit milder on the hair, and very occasional permanent root touch ups.

But mostly using a hair line powder , as in this link to touch up the greys and also has the benefit of filling in the gaps where my hairline is sparse (although I do have lots of regrowth now thanks to Champo serum)

No. Used to be blue and stopped dying it many years ago. If I fancy a change I go for a temp colour and a natural darker shade like black crazy colour. No bleaching. I have light brown natural hair.

Not in relation to hair loss, but I haven't dyed my hair for about 12 years, having used to dye it very blond. It's so much healthier now, and is long, glossy and shiny. I am losing hair due to weight loss, but I have been going steady and averaging less than 1kg a week, so although I am aware of my hair being thinner than it was, no one else would notice and it's manageable. Being thinner, it looks like I have more hair now anyway as I have a narrower frame for it to tumble over. I also make sure I eat a clean balanced diet with plenty of healthy fats from fish and nuts, and plenty of protein. I also don't use any products on my hair except for shampoo and conditioner, and definitely no heat treatments like straighteners or hairdryers. Result = healthy glossy hair down halfway down my back

I’m on MJ and have had hair loss but I’m still dying my hair once a month as normal.

This stuff. It’s great, I have had a lot of regrowth with it. I tried the shampoo and conditioner but didn’t really like them, so I’m using olaplex fine S&C at the moment which seems to help with thickness
