I managed to mess up the dose the first time so may of wasted one dose somehow but hey ho.
Im just really excited
Just wondering how long it took to kick in and is anyone feeling energised on it please x

Hi took me a day or so. Good luck! I have had no real side effects other than a headache on injection day.

@Merseymum1980 why do you think you might have messed up the first dose?

I didnt take the vial cover off like an idiot then when I turned it nothing came out.
Anyway started it again and turned the thing for two clicks etc
So I've either done too much or wasted a dose x

You could post a picture of your pen then people here would be able to advise on how many doses you’ve done. There are markings on the glass vial part that show where the internal plunger has moved to that indicate how many doses left.

I don’t know which cover you’re referring to? The pen lid, or outer or inner needle cover?

Did you see the needle actually pierce your skin, and did you then inject whilst it was in your body, so that the indicator turned from the 1 mark back to the 0 mark?

I did my first dose before bed, and had zero appetite when I woke the next morning.

It was like magic.

You would have had lots of liquid come out somewhere as three whole doses have come out of that pen. How many times did you actually insert the needle into your body? Hopefully just the one time?

You click twice, as in just 2 lines just to see a drop coming put then end.. then turn to 1 and inject that.. did you think it ment turn it to 1 twice??

I think if you have you may have given yourself 7.5mg on your first shot.. expensive mistake..

The clicking twice thing is not the injecting part, it’s called priming and you do it once you’ve attached the needle to check the needle is attached properly. It means turn the pen two tiny clicks and then press the plunger back to the 0 position, and a small amount of liquid will come out of the needle. The injection part is to then turn the pen to the 1 position, then insert the needle into your body and then press the pen end until the dial goes back to 0. You should only do that once.

Do you think you’ve done more than one actual injection into your body?

No just one injection

Two clicks to prime is literally two little individually marked increments. From 0 to 1 on the dial for a full dose is many more. Can you actually double it? I know you can twist back in the opposite direction if you go a bit too far.

If you only put needle in you once and pressed plunger bit from 1 to 0 when needle in, then you have had 1 dose, so don't panic . Just a very expensive mistake.. as soon as they let you order another pen get another 2.5, take your (4th) dose next week and the maybe if you brave try the 5th bonus dose for week 3 then you be back on track.. be 8 weeks of 2.5 instead of the usual 4 or 5..

The good news is that you can’t do a higher dose by accident, as the pen only goes to the 1 position. So if you’ve only injected once then you haven’t done a double or triple dose. But it does sound like you’ve wasted two doses which as you now know is a very expensive mistake to make.

I actually dont know how the heck ive managed to do it but hoping next weeks go better xx

I would re-read the paper instruction leaflet that came with the pen carefully, and ask questions here if you’re not sure about anything.

Agree with @SilenceInside . The first 4 or 5 times I done mine, I had the paper laid out in front of me and I took about 5 minutes each time, reading every step.. now over a year in takes 5 seconds.
