Thread 2 because we have reached our goal weights and we want to maintain not regain. We might be going cold turkey or titrating down or staying on!

Can't believe we filled up a whole thread! Welcome to thread 2.

On a positive note to start us off, I've lost 1lb of the two that I gained from my autumnal apple crumble caper. Filling full of resolve and pleased to know I can gain a pound or two (which is of course completely normal) and then lose them again.

For the first time in 15 years, I have gone to my works Xmas do without starving myself, killing myself at the gym or wearing absurdly tight, organ squashing undies. I felt amazing. That's it!!

Fluffypiece · 09/01/2026 12:37

I just need to tell someone I’m giving myself a pat in the back!! Xmas and ny definitely derailed me a bit but I took action the last 2 weeks and I’m back at my target weight - didn’t get into the doom loop , didn’t go psycho and try and starve myself - just got in with it - hope you don’t mind but I figure if anyone would understand it would be you ladies about how much of a milestone that feels!

@Fluffypiece that is fantastic!!! I swear this is what it is all about. Trying to work out how best to get back on it without punishing ourselves or thinking "fuck it, I might as well eat the whole universe now". Congratulations on your achievement and I mean that very sincerely. PS: come and join us on the most up to date thread.

@Fluffypiece that is such great news. Everywhere in the media we see reports that people are regaining all the weight post WLIs. I'm not. I have gained a couple of pounds but no more. I've been stable for 6 months. But it has been through actively monitoring my weight, and then doing something about any increase. Much easier to deal with 2 pounds than 2 stone.

Hey there
This is my first post after lurking for a bit.

I more or less hit my goal weight before xmas, having lost 60lbs since August 2024 when I fiirst started Mounjaro. I am now on 10mg having moved up in early December for a final boost… the main point being that I have taken it fairly slow in an attempt to avoid some of the effects of losing too quick- the bulk of my weight loss was between 2.5-7.5mg.
I had thought about moving to wegovy when the prices spiked but decided against it when I saw so many people complainiing about gaining. I did however change providers from Zava to Medicine Marketplace who were significantly cheaper but now that I am looking to start maintenance, I am not super confident they will be the best choice to continue with (they gave me a bit of a griliing when I was late ordering my last dose).
So I am wondering what to do for my next steps. I would like to taper down my dose and start to extend the time between my shots but obviously I need to find a provider that will allow this flexibility and does not cost the earth.

I would really welcome advice from those of you who have managed to successfully take this approach either extending the time between doses or lowering doses, or both. I really want this to stick and realise this will be a long term plan.

Hello @Gordita and welcome. Many congratulations on ditching those 60lb. You must be feeling much better for that.

There's pretty much every conceivable option being trialed on these threads for successful maintenance, so hopefully you'll get lots of insight.

I'm maintaining with Pharmalous, but they still aren't keen on extended periods without an order. Five weeks seems to be their limit. I'm therefore stockpiling, as the latest pen they sent me won't expire until Feb 2027. As long as you re-order within one year, they are happy to take you on again but will insist you start again at 2.5.

I’ve been off for 4 months now completely- I put on 3lbs over Christmas and now getting it back off. It’s hard maintaining but possible so far at least. Good to hear others are managing it too. I really don’t want to go back on it, as I had really horrible side-effects, including quite severe hair loss and very low mood. If it wasn’t for that, I’d be tempted to have a maintenance dose.

FurForksSake · 12/01/2026 16:20

Just ordered with oushk, hope it gets approved. Realised I hadn’t ordered for a while as I’ve been using up stockpile. I’m on conti so I’m hoping they won’t care.
