Juniper - how is it different?

Just wondering if there is any value added to buying the drugs from Juniper. Is there actually a programme that helps too?

I have a BMI of 27.8 and must lose weight for health reasons. Started dieting c.3 months ago and lost 4 kg relatively quickly and am now stuck - because I have no self control.

Any thoughts on Juniper would be great.

And how do I know whether to go for Wegovy or Mounjaro?

I haven't used Juniper, but presumably they explain what you get in addition to the medication and the usual level of contact that you'd expect from any pharmacy?

The decision between Wegovy and Mounjaro is going to be based on price and on effectiveness and where your balance between the two falls. Wegovy is cheaper but less effective, people on the research trials lost an average of 15% of their starting weight. Mounjaro is now a lot more expensive, but more effective - people on the clinical trials lost an average of 22% of their starting weight. It is reported to have fewer side effects than Wegovy too.

Hi, I've signed up with Juniper (referral code floating around on the thread on the codes board if you would like £75 off). They send digital bluetooth scales and a measuring tape in your first order, as well as offering optional health coaching. I am not bothering with that. They have a very good app, which also has an AI bot built in, which I have used to answer all the things I would have asked a human coach.

There is also a Facebook 'community' where people ask questions and post success stories etc. Very benign compared to most groups of this ilk, so must be well moderated!

The question of Wegovy Vs Mounjaro is very individual, nobody here will be able to tell you which to pick. As the PP says, MJ has a higher success rate and fewer report side effects. Additionally, it works in two ways, whereas Wegovy only works in one way.

I personally opted for Mounjaro, despite the current drama (I've only just started) because of the reports of anti-inflammatory benefits. I have been struggling with a lot of joint pain and instability this year and wanted to see if it would help, as I am reluctant to take Naproxen continually as the GP wants me to! So far, I have noticed less back pain this week, but can't guarantee that is MJ and not a coincidence.

Wegovy has the same active ingredient as Ozempic, and has obviously been very successful for many people. It is significantly cheaper at lower doses, but the gap isn't as large at higher doses.

That's very interesting about the anti- inflammatory effect. That would be so helpful!

Just so you are aware, the legal prescription guidelines for WLI is bmi 30 or above unless you are an ethnic minority or have a qualifying health condition, which is then prescribed at bmi 27 or above.
