7 lbs loss in two months - a little bit dissapointed

So I started on 2.5mg, then went to 3.75mg of Mounjaro, as I was on holiday and didn't want a massive jump. I definitely ate more on holiday. Mainly ice cream!
Been on 5mg since last week, and have only just got on the scales for the first time in about a month. Disappointed that I've only lost like 4 lbs in a month!

Up side my clothes feel looser, and some are too big now.

I still have at least 2 stone to lose.

I eat around 1000 calories (sometimes less sometimes a bit more - I knowi can only lose weight at this intake from past experinece). I exercise (weight training, pilates, walking and peloton) a few times a week. DH reckons it's because of this that the scales haven't shifted as much.

As I say, I do feel lighter, so was expecting more of a shift on the scales!

I don't feel that suppressed at 5mg....

Constructive thoughts welcome.

Thanks.

Its just the holiday probably. You wont have been eating 1k calories a day on holiday I can guarantee it

In any case, even with that said, thats about 1lb a week, which is brilliant progress

You're 20% through your weight loss goal arent you? You have only 80% of your excess weight to lose.

That is huge progress.

Just carry on and think about the next two months.

1lb loss a week is healthy and sustainable. It might feel frustrating to not be losing quicker but your body (and your mind) will fare better doing it this way and you will be more likely to keep it off as well.

Also, still managing to maintain a 1lb a week loss whilst on holiday is impressive! It shows that you are making sustainable and long term improvements to your lifestyle in general. I'd be so pleased in your position!

That said, 1000 calories is very low, especially with all that exercise. Are you very very petite?

I would also focus less on the scales and more on body composition. Perhaps your clothes are fitting better, maybe your waist is smaller, your thighs more muscular, your endurance is better, etc. Sometimes it isn't about the numbers.

In your position, I would be very pleased with my progress!

Thanks. I used to be petite in size (around 8-10) but not since I went through the menopause! I am 5'4" which is pretty average. I do have a very slow metabolism. Always have had.

If you're exercising and your clothes are feeling looser then you're probably replacing fat with muscle, so it might not show on the scale but would show up in body measurements.

I think that’s ok . Don’t be disheartened.

Are you weighing food?
