Loose skin from mounjaro

How are you managing any loose skin from the weight loss? I am going to the gym regularly working my thighs and arms in particular. I know it will take a long time but looking for some great tips. The thigh work is particularly difficult as I have an arthritic knee.

I had/have some loose skin on my stomach, and a little on my thighs from losing 6 stone on injections. I deliberately took about 18 months to lose it so I didn’t make things worse with fast weight loss. Even after hitting maintenance 1 year ago it continues to get better with consistent exercise. My stomach is still a little pouch/crept but my arms are toned and my thighs only have a tiny stip on the inside! It does depend on your exercise (I use body weight exercises) and your age (in my 30s) as that effects skin elasticity

Sorry to say that loose skin really is dependent on a number of factors you have little control over such as age, genetics etc.

Exercise may help slightly as you can replump the skin with muscle. Time is also helpful but there really isn’t much else you can do tbh.

Having lost over 9 stone since May last year, I have some skin. I am 58, was obese for most of my adult life and have decided I can live with it. I’m trying to see it as a badge of honour for what my body has been able to do with the support of Mounjaro!

Love that! Thank you

I look like a deflated balloon after a 5 stone weight loss. I have a stone to go. Luckily it all looks ok under clothes and there aren't any massive skin flaps hanging around but it still isn't pretty. Im 63.
Im going to Nords clinic in Lithuania early next year for a full face and necklift. I can't be bothered to do anything with the body. Nobody is going to see it.

Weight training is important for lots of reasons but you need to manage your expectations that it can't do anything for loose skin. Age, genetics, and speed of weight loss are the biggest factors. I've lost just under 10st in my early forties and I have some at the tops of my thighs and my arms but it's not too bad and it's better than being fat. My stomach will never be completely smooth but that was to be expected anyway after two big babies and a C section. I'm dry body-brushing daily and taking collagen and my stomach is definitely improving with time. I've also started using Nivea Q10 body lotion this week which claims to be firming. It's no more than hope in a jar but it's something I'd be doing anyway with a different lotion so it can't hurt.

Just noticed my first loose skin on my stomach this morning (33 pound down). Am strangely proud of it as it means it's working 😂

That’s very true x let’s be proud of our skin!
