Has anyone been prescribed meds for BED that have a BMI <27?

Wondering if anyone has been prescribed medication via NHS or privately for their BED - not talking GLP1's like Mounjaro etc as I fall well below the criteria and am aware of the risks. More looking for something to help with my food preoccupation and to help keep cravings at bay.
I know some medications are commonly used in the US but not here but I'd heard of people using Mysimba and ADHD drugs in the UK?
Wondering if anyone is using them, how they were prescribed if you didn't have a high BMI? I'm a lifelong BED sufferer (despite only just falling into the overweight category with my BMI) and I'm really, really struggling at the moment. Thanks so much

Do you have a clinical diagnosis, and if so have you received psychological help?

I dont think medication could help with this especially if you dont have a high bmi

Yes I was diagnosed and referred to an ED clinic about 13 years ago, I had monthly appointments but BED wasn't recognised in the same way then, and I felt really shrugged off (I was told to go home and read a book) so stopped attending and understandably fell off the radar, so have continued to struggle along the last number of years.

I'd heard in the US it's sometimes prescribed as a low dose to help with food noise/preoccupation but it doesn't seem to be commonplace in the UK

I'm afraid I don't know anything about the medication side of things, but I do have experience of psychological support via the ED team (not for BED).
I wonder if it would be worth going down that path again? Getting to the root of the problem would more likely have a better long-term outcome.

ED support looks beyond BMI these days, though adult services vary hugely depending on where you live. I was very fortunate I think.
