Retatrutide - new GLP (triple g)

Has anybody heard much about this new weight loss drug from eli lily?
I was told about it yesterday by a friend who is a pharmacist so came home and did a bit of reading.

Apparently it is more effective than mounjaro in clinical studies with users losing more weight in a shorter period.

Likely to be available in 2027.

I find it very encouraging to hear that other drugs are coming along.

Hopefully this will drive down cost and increase availability to those who really need it.
May also help the 15% of people who don’t find mounjaro effective.

Only because I don’t post every day on other posts doesn’t mean I’m not real 🤣🤦‍♀️… I just don’t normally Post of mumsnet. I’m only trying to answer what the original poster wanted answers too. I am on it and I’ll help anyone with any information they need. Xx

The only thing that does concern me a little but I think would be the same for any weight loss injections or medication is that last year I had my gallbladder out due to gallstones…. Your at higher risk of getting pancreatitis or gallstones in other organs.. your at risk anyways without the weight loss but your at a more increased risk. Which is how I’ve managed to get it via clinic trials. Only issue with clinical trials is like a previous poster has said because in the UK we don’t no anything about this drug if something goes wrong it could be harder to fix. But I’m stupid and decided to do it anyways haha! But if anyone wants to ask any questions I’m happy to answer:) xx

@Demim1994 I seriously doubt you're on a clinical trial. The picture you posted on the other thread about this that you're on clearly shows a fake product. Retatrutide is only manufactured by Eli Lilly, who are the ones doing the actual clinical trial. Not the company named on the box you posted.

I developed gallstones years ago after losing weight quickly, and this was without medication. Any fairly rapid weight loss can cause gallstones. Of course, being very overweight can cause them too!

Demim1994 · 12/08/2025 10:56

@TerrierTerrors that’s the only problem! And does concern me to be honest. But we will see. I only have another stone to lost to be the weight that I want to be so we will see xxx

Do you not worry that it's actually something else, something harmful? I'm not judging by the way. It just seems like a massive risk to inject something you haven't had prescribed by a medical professional.

Another poster who has only commented about being on Retratrutide, and with the same text patterns and spelling mistakes? Come on!

YanTanTetheraPetheraBumfitt · 12/08/2025 19:00

Looks like you can buy online. I wouldn’t touch it. God knows what you get.

I think it is fair to say whatever your ds's mate is on it is not Retatrutide.

I could be. I’ve seen links to it on the grey market. Eg labs making it for clinical trials also sell it. I’d never risk it but have heard some people are.

IrisPallida · 12/08/2025 19:36

Lol. No they don't.

There is no 'grey market' but there is a roaring market in black market weight loss injections. It is a risk, and it is only the truly hard of thinking who will be reassured by some clown on TikTok who is SELLING YOU SOMETHING but honest, honest it is the real drug!!

You have no idea what you are getting, you have no idea whether the sweating is normal or deeply, deeply concerning, and you have no idea whether what you are putting in your body was cooked up in someone's home lab behind the cowshed in their village in South east Asia which is where most of it comes from.

But hey, other people on TikTok said it was OK! But hey, Big Pharma lies and tries to suppress it because $$$ and Big Pharma are getting SUED because Elli Lilley didn't even actually invent the drugs, and all the rest of the Conspiracy shite that targets the gullible.

Darwinism at its finest...

The making it is the easy part, if it is even close to retatrutide, it is making it safe, consistent, and legal - all it takes is one slip whether purity, stability, storage, uncontrolled supply chain and it could be dangerous.

At this stage it is only retatrutide when it has been manufactured under strict control by Eli Lilly, anything else is just a mystery chemical in a bottle by unscrupulous drug dealers.

I’m amazed Amazon have been selling it!

RJmama · 12/08/2025 20:28

On the bottle in that Amazon screenshot it even says ‘Not for human use’… 😵‍💫
