Where do you get your mounjaro from?

I’m looking into buying mounjaro and have confused myself over it.
I don’t necessarily want the cheapest provider, but one who is reliable.
I’ve seen MedExpress advertised everywhere, but I wondered who people go with and how they’re finding it?
Thanks in advance

Lots of safe registered providers on monj.co.uk. It is a just case of picking one, nearly every pharmacy on that list is used by someone on this board.

Do a search on here for the one you pick to see any comments on them.

Some are subscription based so make sure you know what you are signing up for if you choose one of them.

CowPooSummer · 05/08/2025 18:43

That’s great, thank you!

The medication is the same wherever you get it from, all the pharmacies are very similar in how they operate tbh. With the exception as @WeAllHaveWings says of the ones who run a subscription model and those that offer additional “support” or coaching. I have yet to read here of anything additional in terms of support/coaching that looks like it’s worth the additional costs.

All the providers I’ve used have been reliable and did what they said they’d do, so that’s Asda, Zava, Pharmacy2U, WePrescribe and now Swift. I moved each time to get a cheaper deal, rather than because I had any issues with them.

As above. I was like you and started with medexpress both cos I had heard of them and also cos a friend was using and gave me her referral code which made them competitive for first order. They are an easy and safe entry to the system for your first order if you are feeling nervous. They aren’t competitive for repeat orders and their support is limited, but like others say I’ve picked ones from Monj list and been happy so far with Chemist4u and Weprescribe. Plenty other suppliers with good experiences described on the threads here too. The best way to get good prices is to move each month as they mostly have new customer discounts but as you get closer to goal you need to keep in mind that swapping could be more difficult and maintenance plans may be more important to you than price.

as a guide you should not have to pay more than £100-120 for 2.5/5mg pen and £130-150 for 7.5/10mg if you learn the system and are prepared to shop around.

the ones to be careful of being signed up to subscriptions that I know of are Numan, shemed and juniper. However you can cancel them after the cheap first order so long as you don’t forget before they ship the second expensive order, without issue.

I agree that nothing I have heard about the additional support offered by many sounds worth it - it’s mainly bots/apps and the occasional call if you are lucky to find a slot. There is so much great support on here and other forums if you are careful to check all info for yourself and ignore code spammers or those trying to fog dodgy goods via messenger! Not much of that on here as it is quickly reported and removed

Branleuse · 05/08/2025 19:08

I use medexpress. I dont bother shopping around.

CowPooSummer · 05/08/2025 20:34

Thanks all.

@SilenceInside Just wondering if there is any difficulty moving providers if you started in the obese category but when moving you are in the overweight category only? Will they turn you down then?

SilenceInside · 05/08/2025 20:48

@OctopusLover I moved to Swift when my BMI was under 30 without any issue. I do have a weight related health condition that would mean I would meet the starting criteria with a BMI of 27 or over, but the reason I moved to Swift is that they state they will take new customers with a BMI lower than that, according to the Monj website maintenance page monj.co.uk/mounjaro-maintenance-pharmacies/

In general I think most pharmacies will take you on with a BMI under 30 but still overweight, with a history of previous orders. It may be trickier when your BMI is in the healthy range, but that's when I would look at one of the providers on the Maintenance list if I wanted to change at that point.

I was turned down by Numan today because they wanted photos of every old box I had to prove I had had them. I didn’t have that information. However, they didn’t ask for proof of my weight. I think it’s swings and roundabouts with what they ask for.

When I started I was sure I would just stay with one provider but I definitely haven’t. The price differences are absolutely enormous. Numan was £58 cheaper than Asda.

@SilenceInside ah right thank you. I am.with farmeci but they barely charging £159 for 5mg pen and when I looked at other providers aome were charging way less than this! I want to move up to 7.5 on my next order but now I have lost weight will be in just overweight category. I definitely need to change to a cheaper provider though!

Probablyawake · 05/08/2025 20:56

I've used IQ doctor since I started. Deliver quickly and they usually have 15% discount code for all repeat orders. Not had any issues with them, and can't be bothered to keep changing suppliers! Still have a way to go so I may look around when it comes to maintenance.

Yeah absolutely! The price of different providers really varies doesn't it!

Twelftytwo · 05/08/2025 20:58

I've had good experience with Zava initially, although needed referral codes to make it good value.
More recently I changed to Swift and they've been great, a good price without any faffing about with codes

Apparently Farmeci price match, although I haven't tried the process myself - (they told me when I emailed to pause my plan)

That's interesting! That would be easier than moving and possibly being turned down etc. Thanks!

@OctopusLoverI moved to both Chemist4u and Weprescribe when in overweight not obese category. From what I’ve read most will take you on as an existing MJ user under 30 so long as you can provide evidence of your previous orders. I keep all my boxes flattened down and old pens. MedExpress won’t let you join them under 30 even coming from another provider and I think I read also not Zava but not 100% sure on that.

@jagorjab I didn't keep my first box for 2.5mg but I have my two 5mg boxes. Do you think that is enough proof?

I’ve only ever been asked for the most recent one so should be.

jagorjab · 05/08/2025 23:14

@Ashsouth90 less ‘brilliant’ that Numan’s same price you mention for the 2 lowest doses is £209 after the first pen though. 🤣 literally double what you can get those doses for elsewhere. Is the support really worth £100 per month?
