Waaaah it’s stopped working

I’ve been taking Mounjaro since Sep last year. Lost 3 stone by Jan. Lost about 3-4lbs since. But worse…..the suppression seems to have stopped. I feel no different taking it to skipping it (have had to do twice). I’m at the max. I guess I have less bad cravings. But certainly not none.

So disappointed as I have another few stone to lose. Should I take a proper break and reset?

Or this has been since I’ve swapped to Voy - delivered by Post Office not very cold - could it be this?

any advice?

@cramptramp that's shocking!

Gingercar · 08/08/2025 12:59

I’ve been with Voy for three months and it’s worked well for me.

I switched from Ozempic to munjaro when I stalled, it gave me another kickstart.

Didn’t you have to start right from the lowest dose ? And take months to titrate up?

FoxRedPuppy · 08/08/2025 17:26

i would imagine this is correlation not causation. Boy don’t manufacture their own Mounjaro and it’s easy to forget this is a medication that is manufactured under very strict conditions. Plateaus are normal in all weight loss, including with WLI.

Palmparlour · 08/08/2025 18:43

@FoxRedPuppy i know they don’t make it, but they store it - and they use Royal Mail to deliver it - who aren’t the fastest. Last one didn’t arrive cold

I have plateaued for 5 months since swapping to them!

Ok. So even though I had 3 doses left in my old pen I went on to the new pen I had this week (don’t ask, I got into a muddle switching between companies and ended up like this!). And BAM massive suppression, nausea etc. So I guess the last few Voy pen’s weren’t effectively working - I always kept it in the fridge so there was no reason unless it had gone over temperature whilst being delivered. Basically I seem to have been injecting non working Mounjaro for last couple of months….great.

I am never home when mine is meant to be delivered and postman won’t leave it!
So I have to rearrange delivery and it’s usually 2 days later, mine is never kept cold and I’ve never had any problems with suppression or no other issues

BlueLimes · 08/08/2025 20:49

I use Voy - always delivered the next day. Not had any problems. I find them very flexible re doses/ delivery.

Gingercar · 08/08/2025 21:04

Me too. My last Voy pen was delivered on a really hot day by Royal Mail. It was wrapped in wool insulation and had plastic cool gel bags around it. I’ve used those gel freezer packs again for a picnic and they stayed pretty cool even when defrosted and outside in a bag on a sunny day. So I don’t see how all your pens got warm!
I think Voy are a great, responsible company and very supportive- you should have spoken to them about your plateau- they have coaches and clinicians available Mon-Friday and a great AI chatbot 24/7. I’m just about to leave them because they’re too expensive for me, but I think they have been good and I wish that I could stay. I’ve also consistently lost weight with them. I love their balanced plate system instead of counting calories.

Palmparlour · 08/08/2025 23:26

My what a burst of supportive Voy posts this evening!

Maybe it depends where you live in terms of Royal Mail delivery. I’m in London and it’s appalling.

Also, not sure what you mean by ‘I don’t know how they got warm.’ The usual way I guess.

as if a normal person writes stuff like this…

It’s good to have balance isn’t it? I’ve been using Voy since January with no problems at all. I’m a long term poster if you are insinuating bots at work !

Are you saying a normal person would have spent about £450 plateauing and done nothing?! Ok!
Voy is far too expensive (and good) for me not to make the most of it. I’ve spoken to them loads over the last couple of months and also lost 2 stones. I wish I could afford to stay with them, but unfortunately I have to move suppliers this month (don’t think a Voy bot would say that!)
Im not a bot or an employee, I just think what you’re saying about them is a bit unfair. Especially if you never brought your issue up with them and gave them a chance to help you.
But good luck with your new supplier.

FoxRedPuppy · 09/08/2025 09:47

@Gingercar is definitely a “normal” poster, I’ve been chatting with her since I started mj. What a strange thing to say.

I would say there are far more likely reasons for a plateau.

Palmparlour · 09/08/2025 10:11

Ok I apologise @Gingercar

@FoxRedPuppy its not the plateau for the millionth time, it’s the fact I stopped having any effects from the jab. Now I’ve moved I’ve suddenly got a huge effect again - and have lost 2lb this week already after months of not budging!
