I started right back when first launched last April time. Got right up to 15mg around February and my BMI is 25.5
I've been stuck more or less since then. I move a few pounds up and down. I’m not even a healthy bmi yet. I’ve dropped down to 7.5 this month as I was not enjoying the side effects with no weight loss and 7.5 used to be a sweet spot for me. Nope, just stay the same with a lot more hunger.
I can’t believe I can’t make it after all this time. It also worries me that I’m pretty darn hungry on 7.5 as I was hoping to go to 2.5 as a maintenance dose. I’ve found myself being able to ‘binge’ again. It’s not really working anymore.

Find myself looking forward to next years retatrutide release in the hope I can crack being overweight.

Are you tracking food? Have you recalculated your deficit recently? Doing high protein low carb and more water works for me. I'm bmi 24.6 and still losing 1lb a week average. Last month I lost 4lbs. My cals are usually quite low 850-1100 a day. I'm also on 15mg and move up when suppression wears off.

TheRealGoose · 31/07/2025 20:41

Did you drop immediately from 15 to 7.5, or titrate down, ie 12.5 for a month, then 10 etc?

InfoSecInTheCity · 31/07/2025 20:47

lay it all out for us and you.

  • current weight, height age and activity level - what is your TDEE?
  • how is your sleep?
  • how is your water intake?
  • how many calories are you eating a day?

Whenever I have a stall I sit and work through those questions and usually find the reason, usually for me it’s that I’m not sleeping enough or drinking enough water. Have you been dropping your calorie allowance periodically after recalculating your TDEE, it lowers as your weight does.

my loss has slowed a lot after the 25 BMI point, it’s harder to lose and slower the smaller you get. I tend to hover for weeks and then have a bit of a drop now.

MeridaBrave · 31/07/2025 22:02

There isn’t enough info to help you
What does a typical day of food look like
How active are you
What exercise are you doing?
Are you binging / comfort eating?

MaudOHara · 01/08/2025 20:46

I am the same.

I have been on it since May 2024, had good consistent but not OTT weight loss, but have been static for the last 5 weeks.

I am tracking every morsel that passes my lips, I started going to the gym 4 times a week a couple of weeks ago to try and kick start things.

My sleep however is dreadful, regularly waking at 4 and unable to go back to sleep, and I know that sleep deficiency can cause weight problems.

Hmm. Really?
It is not released here yet. Plus your posting history consists of just two posts both of which are about retatrutide.

The only way anyone could be taking retatrutide at the moment is if they are a participant in a clinical trial.

OP, it’s unlikely to be available in the UK before 2027 so don’t pin your hopes on it. Would you find it helpful to go through @InfoSecInTheCity’s questions?

It seems to available on the grey market “for research purposes”. I’ve seen links. So it’s available for those who are happy to risk it.

GiantTeddyIsTired · 12/08/2025 07:00

I've been on a bit of a stall (maybe 1/2 kilo a month) for a few months.

I've bought a weighted vest, and I'm trying to get up to wearing it about 6 hours a day, as clearly my body has just hit a plateau (and I'm still in the obese range, I'd at least like to get to be only Overweight)

I shudder to think what is being sold in those cases. Research-grade drugs for laboratory use are emphatically not for humans. It’s still in phase 3 trials and hasn’t even been submitted to the FDA or MHRA for approval.

@Demim1994 I seriously doubt your claim to be on a clinical trial. Retatrutide is made by Eli Lilly only, not the name that's on the box you're holding. Who seem to be a thoroughly dodgy and unlicensed outfit.

Demim1994 · 12/08/2025 10:53

I don’t think you understand…. Yes that’s the company that are doing the clinical trials the medication is not necessary made there….. they can be put out to many organisations to make.

I don’t understand why you are trying to catch me out or arguing with me… it was simply asked if anyone was on it. I said yes.. and you’re going against me. Even if I was to buy this illegally doesn’t matter to you… the fact I’m on it.. I was telling you how I am on it.. what’s the problem? 🤣… you either want to know about it or you don’t? If you don’t then don’t ask the question?

SilenceInside · 12/08/2025 11:01

@Demim1994 I understand perfectly. Eli Lilly are the only company that manufacturer genuine Retatrutide. They don't outsource the production to other companies who then put their own brand on the product.

Who knows what you're taking? Could be anything, as it certainly isn't genuine Retatrutide via the Eli Lilly clinical trial. Whatever you are taking, it isn't relevant to the OP who was discussing genuine retatrutide that won't be available in the UK for a couple of years in all likelihood.

Demim1994 · 12/08/2025 11:05

You clearly don’t understand how things are made and produced. I am a pharmacist and understand this a lot better than you do. They are the company and they source it out to other manufacturers to sometimes source the products.

If anyone is wanting to know anything )and not have a go at me 🤣🤦‍♀️) please feel free to message me. But I’m no longer responding to horrible posts on the thread. I simply commented to give advice not be interrogated haha! But I am happy for anyone to send me a message and ask anything xx

SilenceInside · 12/08/2025 11:09

I am happy to leave people to draw their own conclusions.

Demim1994 · 12/08/2025 11:16

I’m sorry if offended you in any way, it wasn’t my attention to do so. I seriously only wanted to offer advice (my own personal advice) to anyone wanting to know about this medication. Because whether your clinical trials or getting it from another source we would all hope that it’s safe and the right stuff. Please be assured I completed agree with not buying from an unreliable source. But that’s not what I’m getting at or promoting. Just my experience on the drugs that’s all x

The other poster doesn’t come across as a qualified, experienced pharmacist.

spoonbillstretford · 12/08/2025 14:17

I had worse side effects on lower doses than higher. Try 10mg, see how you go, and cut your calories a bit. I was having 1400 until now but with 5lbs to go to BMI 24, I've gone down to 1200.

Agreed. I hope nobody here is tempted to seek their ‘advice.’

1clavdivs · 12/08/2025 20:05

I used to work for a major pharmaceuticals company and no way would they ever have outsourced the manufacturing. Not during the (highly confidential) R&D phase and not even when they were coming off licence. They all have their own manufacturing operations and keep things very tightly in-house.
