8 weeks in - barely any loss. Why?!!

Obviously I’m still eating too much.
i did 4 weeks of 2.5mg, felt no difference.
have just done 4 weeks of 5mg, was hopeful but still no impact on appetite or feeling full etc.

Have lost 8lb in 8 weeks but consciously eating less and feeling hungry. Lost nothing at all in last 2 weeks.

Have ordered 7.5mg in hope I will finally feel what everyone else keeps talking about.
feeling fed up and frustrated.

SW 18st 8lb
CW 18st 0lb

Any other slow starters who got there in the end?

I’m losing weight using traditional diet (calorie controlled) and exercise.

i don’t think I have much in the way of ‘food noise’ so I don’t think WLI would make much difference for me personally.

i mainly wanted to post in terms of the “I’d put on weight if I ate > xx calories” comments.

Do remember BMR and resultant deficit are entirely individual and depend on things like current weight, height, build etc.

At my heaviest I was over 18st and able to lose weight on over 1800 daily target.

I’m now just below 15st and my app (MyNetDiary) currently gives me 1700 target (partly taking into account regular exercise that I do over the week) and I’m losing 1-1.5lb a week.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with your daily calorie target for your current weight, as long as you’re logging accurately and not underestimating.

Just weighed myself and it's now a 1.5kg total loss, which is slow but it's starting to move. It's cheered me right up!

A 1lb a week is pretty solid. It’s incredibly frustrating though when you come on here and hear all the people who are on 2.5 mg and shedding the pounds like crazy. Take heart though - I thought for a long time maybe it just didn’t really work for me, but since going up to 10 mg and then particularly now at 12.5 mg I’m flying and the weight is coming off easily. It’s an absolute revelation that life can be like this.
