I have reached the stage where I’m considering weight loss injections. I am not eligible via the NHS as although my BMI is 36.7, I do not have hypertension/pre-diabetes etc.
There are so many providers out there, so far I’ve looked at Numan, Shemed, Superdrug, Asda, med express but I’d really appreciate some real life experience feedback.
Also, are the side effects such as fatigue worse on one type rather than another? I’m very active and this worries me!
Thanks in advance.

Thank you to everyone who had responded, it’s been really helpful. I’ve ordered from Weprescribe, so we shall see if it’s a useful tool to help get my BMI down from obese.

I shop around each month to get the best discounts and it’s not a problem at all. I’ve used Chequp and Pharmacy 2U and next month I’ll try somewhere new. Typically you just need to take some full length photos and a photo of the current box/prescription.
For my first month I used one of the services (forgotten the name now) that offer tailored support. I never used the support as once I started on MJ, it was so easy I didn’t really need help. I just started eating better and in much smaller quantities and that was it.

Thanks, I’m feeling hopeful but I think the main thing I’m worried about is that it’ll make me feel crap! I’ve heard about side effects such as nausea, fatigue and reflux and I’m really hoping it doesn’t impact too significantly.

I honestly never have any bad side effects.

I did my first injection on Thursday. When did people start to feel ‘different’ regarding appetite?

I felt a difference pretty soon, I would say the day after injection. But it's different for everybody.
I've been on it since January and have been on 7.5 for 5 months now and I feel suppression is strongest after 2-3 days.
Drinking lots of water has certainly increased suppression
All the best for you. It's been life changing for me, I hope it will be for you too

Thankyou for replying @viktoria
How much have you lost so far? My BMI is about 36 so I have a good few stone to lose.

My BMI was 34, it's now 25.2. I went from 98kg to 72 at the moment.
So I'm just at the cusp of being at a healthy BMI.
I had had an issue with my Achilles tendon (I think) and going for long walks was painful. That pain has totally disappeared.
I still am on high blood pressure medication but my dosage has been halved.
I finally stopped "having to" eat chocolate every day. (I have previously stopped smoking without any help and it was hard, but I managed it. So I know I have will power, but I just couldn't stop eating chocolate... and more)
I feel free. I am seeing friends more often. I am catching up with old friends I hadn't seen for ages, because I felt embarrassed about my size. I feel more confident at work and stand my ground more.
It's been nothing but positive for me.
All the best for your journey.

And sorry, I didn't even answer your initial question. I started on Superdrug originally because I wanted a name I know, but have used Zava for months.
I use the code from that website with the price comparison and codes each month.
I also ordered syringes and use the fifth dose.
And I started spacing the jabs so am sometimes taking them every eight days rather than every 7 days.
Weight loss is much much slower now, but that's ok with me.

I've always used ASDA online doctor (with a 10% off code - I shared my code once on one of the official code sharing threads and got so many from that I've got enough to last me years).

Never had an issue with them. They send anti-bac swabs and 4+ needles (I think they send a spare or two as well) with each order. They weren't the cheapest when I started. Considered changing a couple of times but never got round to it. They've now brought down the price of the lower doses, so I think they are more competitive now (as a consequence think the 10% off has swapped to £10 off as an initial incentive). I did a comparison with Simple last month with a view to possibly switching, it was then that I realised they had become more competitive with pricing.

I've attached the turnaround times between ordering as a picture (they have got slower recently as demand has increased - so allow a week). I am a couple of pens in advance now (currently using pen 13 but also have pens 14 and 15 in the fridge) as I usually order every 4 weeks or so but always take 5 doses out of the pen (so I need 1 mg needles too for the last dose - although I have sub dosed a lot so in reality for a lot of my doses and bought those separately).

Thanks for all the info, I’ve just had my second dose-definitely feel less hungry. Couple of questions if anyone is still about:
@AlmostStopped What do you mean by the fifth dose?
And when did you change up from the starting strength?

Click of picture for when I went up a doses. I did 4 x 2.5 mg, then took 3.2 mg (the 5th dose/bonus dose/golden dose - this was the 0.76 ml that was left in the pen). I started a 5 mg pen for my 6th dose (I did 50 clicks rather than 60 though, which was 4.2 mg - I was very suppressed on that and should've stuck there in hindsight. Any dose higher than that made me ill).

Each [standard] dose is 0.6 ml, but there is more than [4 x 0.6] 2.4 ml of solution in the pen. There is more than a standard dose (even with priming) - so enough for another 5th dose. Extract this using a 1 ml needle (by drawing 0.6 ml for a standard dose), as the injection system in the pen won't work for this.

Ah I see. I take it that’s not recommended by the suppliers! Makes sense that the leftover solution could be used though, unless there is a reason we don’t know about.
I’ve lost about 2kg this week on the starting dose, I’m wondering whether to buy a 5mg pen next or stick to what I’m using now.
I feel ok in this, definitely eating a lot less, lot less hungry and only slight side effects of burping/slight nausea. My worry is I’ll feel worse on the 5mg!
