Going cold turkey?

I have lost 10 pounds on Mounjaro over five months, slow progress, about two pounds a pen but happy with that. I am short, 5' 2'', and in my sixties, so don't burn a lot of calories. All fine until I went up to 10, then after a few days felt sick, dizzy, unable to eat.

Moved down to 9, but the same, actually fainted one day and the next day was out at lunch with a friend when I was literally sick at the table - not very, obviously, as nothing to come up (sorry, TMI). She was very understanding but I was mortified.

I was going to titrate down but now scared of injecting and have other stuff in my life going on so can't afford to be ill. This is Day 4 over my due date for injecting and not feeling ill/sick any more but still dizzy, so I am thinking it must be low blood sugar. I am doing a bit better at eating, taking vitamins and electrolytes, trying to stay well hydrated.

But I really want the M out of my body asap and effectively go cold turkey. The on line advice is to titrate down, but given by the suppliers so they would say that wouldn't they? I didn't have a huge appetite to start with and don't suffer with food noise, and don't really care about my weight any more (BMI 26), I just want to feel better.

So this is a long and unduly complicated way of asking if anyone has gone cold turkey and did it work for you or were there side effects?

I think the reason for the advice to reduce gradually is because there was a study that suggested people are less likely to regain weight if they do. Or maybe they don’t regain as much, I can’t remember. It won’t do you any harm to just stop, that used to be the advice, there’s no withdrawal from MJ and the levels in your system will just fall naturally.

You can stop it now if you want and it will slowly remove itself. Titrating down is for those who want to find their maintenance dose really

Thank you, that’s what I thought but much appreciate the confirmation
