Hair loss on Mounjaro

I have been on Mounjaro since the end of March and have noted excessive hair loss over the past month or so and my head is also more tender. Apparently nothing abnormal to see on my scalp according to DH. One of my friends said her friend stopped Mounjaro due to hair loss. Has anyone else experienced the same? If so did it settle or did it only settle once you came off Mounjaro? i still have a few Kg to go

My sister recommended this and my local pharmacist also said try powder as it’s more available to the body to absorb, so I’m trying it. A week in and I think not quite so much hair is being shed. Will update in a few weeks. I dissolve it in a shot of espresso, which works well.

If you're eating very few calories for whatever reason it will affect hair growth cycle and result in hairloss. You see similar with nail growth. The body reacts by not replacing hair as fast as normal. Back in the days of VLC diets you saw the same. Hair grows back when a "normal" calorie diet is resumed.

Just to say I’ve had good results from Kerastas Genesis. The results being it has minimised my hair fall in the shower which is when I could notice. TBC whether it makes it grow…

Can confirm. I’m not on MJ but have also noticed my hair drops out when I lose even a few pounds too fast.

I’m not losing weight quickly though. About 1/2-1 lb a week. And it’s a listed side effect of MJ now.

I had hair loss too - nothing major as I am losing slowly and definitely not more than I’ve lost weight before without mounjaro. However, as I intend to keep losing for quite some time I was getting concerned.

I tried hair gummies from holland and Barrett a month ago. Definitely way less shedding. Went back yesterday and got three months worth on the 3 for 2 offer…so helpfully they keep working.
