Medical records required for Mounjaro

I was on Mounjaro at the start of this year for about 3-4 months and managed to lose 2st which I was very happy with. I then stopped it because I was going on a long holiday and I just haven't got round to getting back on it.

I'd like to re-start now and have submitted a request to Medicspot. They have replied stating that they need a copy of my Patient Summary Care Record. As I live in Wales we don't have the NHS App here and it takes 28 days to get my records from my GP.

So my question is, do all suppliers now request this, or am I just going to have to wait another month to start before I get the paperwork to send to them?

No, it's not all suppliers. I have never been asked for a copy of my Patient Summary Care Record. The most recent supplier that I used asked for permission to access it (no idea if they did or not!), but that's the first time I'd ever seen anything about it.

I'd just try somewhere else and see how you get on.

Providers are looking for more and more information to comply with the GPhC guidelines, what stage each provider is at to comply to these will vary.

Mine is now asking customers, including current customers for weight, height and photo ID verification video calls. Plus copies of repeat prescription slips, NHS app summaries for those in England, and any other information patients can provide so they can ensure/prove to GPhC they are prescribing safely.

It is going to get trickier to get these prescribed remotely from online pharmacies over the coming months if you cannot provide adequate proof of medical history.

Oushk were challenged by GPhC if they were taking on transferring customers with BMI < 30 they need adequate proof those customers were eligible at the start of their journey not rely on them just being prescribed previously.

I wouldn't be surprised if prices start to go up too if pharmacies need more resources/staff do all these checks.

Mine didn't- Phamacy express- and it's £120 for 2.5mg.

I’ve been looking through Monj. I’ve got no issues sending any of it but I was surprised at how many suppliers that didn’t ask for anything late last year nos wanted dated videos, access to medical records, GP details, etc.

Go with someone else. It's not worth the faff.
Currently I think very view providers ask for medical records, unless something has flagged up on a question that has been answered at the consultation.
Having said that I think some new guidelines/regulations have come into affect or will do shortly in July so maybe this has caused it.
I have been with 3 different providers the last 3 months & none of them asked.

Quite standard.

@NaranjaDreams it’s because the GPhC clamped down and changed their guidlines in February, so now all pharmacies are required to obtain proof of the patient’s BMI.

@Tainiz Voy don’t even inform your GP if you ask them not too.

My partner didnt get asked to supply hers so not all clinics seem to follow the same rules.

Thanks for all your replies. I totally get that they want to clamp down on who has access to it, I'm just hoping that I can get it sooner rather than having to wait to get hold of my records. Thanks everyone :)
