What have I done!

After previously using ozempic last year & regaining the weight (med induced), I decided to give mounjaro ago.

anyway, worked up to 5mg, no suppression. So when I took my last dose, I then also injected the golden dose alongside the 5mg.

I woke up at 5am nauseous, feeling like I have a sickness bug. You know like lethargic, waves of sickness.

have I gone to high? Or is this normal and it will settle down? The suppression has kicked in now on this dose

@mydaughterisademon it would be helpful if you could confirm what you’ve actually taken. You’ve done 4 weeks on 2.5mg, then this is the 4th week of 5mg is that right? Then you also did 0.8ml of the remaining medication this week, from the 5mg pen, I think? So you’ve got a new 5mg with 4 (or 3??) doses remaining, but you’ve also got a 7.5mg pen coming for next week?

I’ve taken 2.5mg for 4 weeks, then 5mg for 4 weeks, decided to stay at 5mg but it just wasn’t doing its job

Ah ok, so you have at least had 4 weeks of 5mg to allow the medication to build in your system. But still, a jump to almost 12mg is a big leap. I hope you’re ok this week, try to eat small amounts regularly and keep hydrated.

I do this all the time and luckily had no side effects from it! I'm maintaining now so only have jabs every 10 days. you will be fine I would take your next dose a couple of days later than normal if you still feel a little dodgy

You do what all the time?! Take nearly 3 times the amount you're supposed to?

I’m just going to be direct, @mydaughterisademon you sound like an absolute fool.

Stop getting medical advice from randoms on the internet and start speaking to the actual medical professionals involved in your care. They never would have advocated for any of your actions here.

You come across as uneducated and frankly, you got a taste of your own medicine here. You’re lucky you don’t feel worse.

I really think medication like Mounjaro should have some form of IQ test before being given to idiots. Being able to follow the instructions should be a bare minimum pre-requisite.

Sure. Carry on as you are, I’m sure natural selection will take over soon.
