Suppression

I started taking on Tuesday morning, 1.25mg, then a second dose on Wednesday morning. I've experienced a lot of suppression since. Until this afternoon. Been feeling quite peckish all afternoon but haven't eaten a great deal. Then tonight the suppression has kicked in again and I'm struggling to eat supper. Anyone else experience this??!

Any reason why you have split doses?

Basically, you are in charge of a human body with all of its weird idiosyncrasies and its own reasons for doing things!! Suppression comes and goes depending on what/how much you’ve eaten, hormones, fluid intake, amount of exercise etc etc etc

Maybe put your doses into a glp1 plotter and see what the dosage in your system is like. It might be interesting.

@IReallyNeedThisToWork I was so nervous about SEs that I decided to take a half dose and see what happened. And yeah, the human body is pretty unique and everyone is gonna respond differently. I just wondered whether anyone else had the same experience out of curiosity. Can you recommend a GLP1 plotter, as haven’t heard of them?!!

Try shotsy app, it's free and easy to use to log injections and weight

Lots of people experience suppression after taking their first injection, I certainly did. Although I just took their medication as instructed and did a 2.5mg first dose.

The medication builds in your system over the first 2 to 3 days, before dropping back down. It builds each week, assuming you take their medication as instructed, as it doesn’t all leave your system in 7 days.

Here is one I use the app Shotsy which I find very helpful.

Honestly, don’t get caught up in worries about side effects. Most people don’t have any at all and those that do are generally mild and easily treatable. It’s just that anybody feeling rough is likely to shout about it very loudly on social media whereas those of us who don’t really have any don’t bother to post about our lack!!

Im still pretty suppressed and it surprised me when I just thought about it as I’m due my next jab tomorrow and my appetite usually settles back down to normal for me about 4 days in. But it’s day 6 and I’m not feeling more hungry. I think it’s probably the heat.
I’m on 12.5 though, this is my second pen of 12.5. I’d just go for the 2.5 op if you’re managing okay with side effects, you will
possibly find you experience high suppression for the first few days and then things will settle down.

It isn’t necessarily suppression quite as much as feeling full quickly and properly. So it’s better to eat planned and regular meals, stopping when you are full. Don’t nibble when you’re hungry, or force yourself to eat when you don’t feel like it. Let your body get used to expecting meals at mealtimes and eat what you need at each meal.
