Been on Wegovy for 2yrs. Gone from 13 stone to 11 stone. Not a great loss and nothing happened for 6months. I tried to switch to other products but neither provider would sell me Mounjero as my BMI is 24 .5.
Stuck with Wegovy it would seem. Only benefit i feel is I don't want to drink alcohol.
Would really love to reach 9.5 stone. Struggle to do any exercise after a full day in the classroom and weekends. I am so tired and just end up cleaning house and sleeping. I am 60 and due to teach full time till 67 . Can anyone recommend a slow and free way I can get into shape ? Just so demotivated atm .

Do you track calories? What does a typical day of food look like? I find lowering carbs and upping protein works for me. Your job isn’t sedentary which is good. Two stone is a lot of weight so well done so losing that.

Try oushk, they have maintenance plans but may depend if you are still on wegovy.
High protein, low carbs and drinking lots of water shifts weight for me. I also track all my calories and eat to a deficit of 1200. I recommend this to keep an eye on intake as it sounds like you are eating to maintain not lose.
I'm at 10st 3lbs down from 13st 1lbs started in October and prediabetic. Had slow losses of 1lb a week average but I do lose consistently. It does get harder to lose after 11st.
what is your sleep and stress levels like? Cortisol can cause weight gain/retention and so can fasting. I fond eating little and often helps maintain blood sugars.
Yoga is good for movement, many videos on YouTube. Also Joe wicks does free videos, try a beginners class. I have a resistance cross trainer/bike 2 in 1 from argos at home so I can avoid a gym!
I work long hours in an office management role in the nhs so I understand the tiredness after a long day. I haven't done any exercise so far on my journey.

Your BMI is 24.5. You've gone from, presumably, the lower end of obese BMIs to a healthy one. To me nothing has gone wrong there, that's a great success!

What do you eat? Do you track? You'll have to ensure you're in a calorie deficit if you want to lose more weight, but it's difficult when you're lower weight. I'm losing about 1lb every 2 months by this point but I'm not unhappy with it.

Iloveeverycat · 05/07/2025 11:20

You have done very well but not sure why it has taken you so long. If you only lost 2lb a month you would lose 1.5 stone in a year. I have not used the jabs but have lost 13lb in 2 months just by cutting out sugar switching to skimmed milk. Not eating biscuits, chocolates and snacking. No exercise.

WW would be good. I lost 4 stone on that over lockdown.

Titasaducksarse · 05/07/2025 12:16

You're in a healthy weight range. I'd suggest this is a natural settle point for your body.

Iloveeverycat · 05/07/2025 14:19

How tall are you. I would be happy to be 11 stone

When I spoke to a clinic about bariatric surgery, whilst it would be of course in their interests to say they told me in the summer of 23 the injections for some people can just stop working. I had a medical professional turn up this past week who under went weight loss surgery in Turkey just as I would have started on the injections so that was interesting.

I am deemed to have lost weight slowly, started on Saxenda end of 22 at just under 20 stone been in the 15 stone bracket for absolutely ages. Don’t have loose skin but awful fluid retention/amazing bingo arms and of course in the legs.

I used to think the nhs weight loss app was good for nudges. I just say as I’ve recently had to sign up for the 12 week digital programme via primary care as the only real option with a bmi of 41. I’m sorry but if you can swim/exercise I would do that as thinking back to the person who said they’d bariatric surgery still said they had to take up running when they hit a plateau.

For fitness, my recommendation is Jessica Valant. She has some quite relaxing Pilates for beginners and is very encouraging (though you may find her annoying).
