Switching supplier

Can anyone chat me through how easy this is to do? Been with Voy since march on 2.5 but just went up to 5mg and it’s £199 so wanting to switch after this month as the extras aren’t really worth it. But I’m worried about the hassle of switching - is it easy/ worth it? Thanks so much

It’s no harder than when you first signed up with Voy. You fill out the new pharmacy’s online form, and provide photos/video/id etc as requested. When you say you’re already taking Mounjaro they’ll ask what dose and you will need to show a photo of your prescription label on your most recent medication box. Or other proof of your previous prescription.

wlinewbie0425 · 25/06/2025 23:11

I just switched from MedExpress for the same reason. The hassle is minimal - just the usual questionnaire plus 3 photos (front with date, side, and face beside ID) and after placing the order they asked for a photo showing my previous prescription. my 5mg pen arrived within 48hours. £99 from chemist4u.

Very easy to swap as everyone has said. Complete the usual consultation form saying you are on the medication already and what dose and then follow any instructions your chosen pharmacy may have in place - photos/ scales/ dated, video call, ID check etc

Have a look on monj.co.uk for cheaper pharmacies.

PurpleCoo · 26/06/2025 07:18

I swap every month. My most recent order was on Sunday evening. I submitted photos etc, it was approved within 5 minutes, posted the next day and arrived Tuesday morning.

I have never paid more than £110 for a pen. This month was £99

QueenOfHiraeth · 26/06/2025 11:09

I switched last month as my previous supplier was out of stock.
I used this website for comparison as you can filter it by strength, maintenance friendly, etc which I think makes it easier to see what you want to see.
I used SwiftDoctor and was surprised how easy it was. I filled in a consultation form and ticked that I was currently using MJ. I then got a notification saying that I would receive an email asking for more details which I did and sent those as a reply. It was approved within half an hour and despatched the next day.

26dX · 26/06/2025 12:18

@PurpleCoo ooo where was this from please and what dose if you don’t mind me asking? X

PurpleCoo · 26/06/2025 12:25

@26dX It was chemist4u and it was for 5mg

WalterHWhite · 26/06/2025 13:01

This question is what I’ve been looking for. Thanks!

Can I ask how i prove that I’ve been on 2.5 for eight weeks? My pen doesn’t have my name on it and Voy have removed my plan from the app.

Any ideas? I should have screenshot it before cancelling i think!
Thanks for any help

SilenceInside · 26/06/2025 13:08

@WalterHWhite the medication box that the pen came in should have a prescription label on it with your name, the date, the medication and the dose.

If you don't have that any more, do you have the NHS App? If you do, and Voy notified your GP, then you should have Mounjaro as a prescribed medication, along with a copy of the letter that Voy sent.

WeAllHaveWings · 26/06/2025 13:21

As others say, easy to start with a new supplier, just make sure you cancel with Voy as they are a subscription service and might send you another pen automatically.

Get your prescription info from your Voy app before you cancel as I think I read from someone before they couldn't get access after they cancelled.

Fatmumslim01 · 26/06/2025 15:48

@AmusedRoseCrow I haven't tried voy is it good I presume they do a first order discount? I've seen videos on YouTube that it comes a box I think that could be quite handy 😂 is the app etc worth it or not really? I'm presuming not as you are leaving them!

AlicesMum2025 · 26/06/2025 19:15

I just switched to Chemist 4U to get 5mg for £99. I told them I was already on it and they didn't ask for evidence. They just prescribed it after I submitted my photos and questionnaire. I'm massive so perhaps they just though 'oh yes, she needs 5mg'! 🤣

WalterHWhite · 26/06/2025 20:42

I think I’ll try them then @AlicesMum2025. I can’t believe how Voy were so quick to cancel my subscription! Other than the pen and the orange box, I don’t have anything to show them. Was it £99 on their website or did you need to use discount codes?

tryingtobesogood · 26/06/2025 22:37

I move to medicine marketplace, filled out the paperwork yesterday and sent a video, they posted it today. £135 for 7.5mg

BertieBottsEveryFlavourBeans · 26/06/2025 22:42

I just switched to Med express from Zava as I ran out of referral code discounts. It was very easy, I uploaded the pictures and information they wanted, they approved it the same day and I had my pen 2 days later.

I would have liked to stay with Zava because their service was always great, but I need to chase the lower prices now I'm on a higher dose

WalterHWhite · 26/06/2025 23:07

What information did they ask for @BertieBottsEveryFlavourBeans? I don’t have a prescription or anything really. Thanks

I just got this Chemist4u deal too. The code is on the comparison site, it’s £30 off the listed price for new users and you enter it at check out. The code is the same for everyone but I won’t post codes on here - you can get it on Monj.co.uk go to the discount table and sort for 5mg - this deal makes them cheapest option for 5 at the moment and one of the cheapest for 2.5mg.

I’m glad to say I think they are a responsible prescriber as they did ask for proof of my previous prescription when my order was reviewed - it’s probably because my BMI is now under 30, although my photos also made it quite clear that I am not a healthy size round the middle yet!

I had to supply a full picture, front and side, a picture of my feet on the scales, picture of my ID and because I''m already on mounjaro a picture of my pen with the dose on it. I've never had to provide so much previously (started with Boy and switched to Zava) but I'm not sure if providers are now asking for more to make sure people aren't trying to get it when they don't qualify.

You might not have to. I have been on 2.5mg for 7 months and switched pharmacy a few times, I have never had to show previous evidence of prescription and I think that’s just because I’m ordering 2.5mg. If you are planning to stay on it you should be fine. I think they only really need evidence for f previous prescriptions for higher doses as they need to ensure people are not just choosing to start on 7.5mg or whatever.

AmusedRoseCrow · 27/06/2025 18:46

Thanks everyone super helpful.

see when you say proof of prescription on Voy how do you do that? Thanks

Keep the empty boxes with your prescription label with your name and dose on. Or save a photo of them before binning. I believe if you haven’t kept them you can provide alternatives like a screenshot of confirmation email or on the app if it’s a provider with that.

WalterHWhite · 29/06/2025 10:03

Thanks for all the information you have given. I have gone to another supplier (£100 cheaper) but as I hadn’t kept the last box, have had to have 2.5 mg again.

I’m just posting to let people know to keep the box! It was an easy process and will probably change again next month due to price. Thanks again.

AmusedRoseCrow · 29/06/2025 14:32

Okay brilliant thanks everyone I’m going to switch as it’s £100 cheaper elsewhere. Just to answer I haven’t found the right extra support with Voy worth it to be honest. The app is okay, I don’t really use it other than to track my dose and weight. I actually prefer Shotsy app wise!!

As for support I’ve had one phone call and with a support person, found it was alright but minimal follow up qnd pretty common sense stuff really. Def not worth an extra £100 I’ve only stayed with them because I’ve been on 2.5 for 4 months which was £129 but now I’ve moved to 5mg they are quoting £199

thanks again I have a photo of my 5mg box I can use.

I used a confirmation email of the order as proof of 2.5 also (sorry probably a bit late now!)
