Does anyone else find themselves getting the ‘rage’

I am most definitely postmenopausal, and haven’t had any PMS for years and years. However, I have noticed since starting MJ there are days when I get ‘the rage’. I can feel myself getting really annoyed about the smallest things, and having to remind myself that what I’m feeling is not actually real.

Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? I used to use food and wine to lift my spirits, now I just have to learn to regulate my emotions like an adult!!!

Teach me how to regulate my emotions like an adult because I'm struggling.

@Sthoremouse it mostly involves sitting in the garden plotting how to murder my husband and bury him under the patio.

I am 2 years post menopause and my menopause symptoms have returned, worse than first time around, with weight loss. Fat tissue produces estrogen so if you have lost significant weight it is possible/probable your estrogen levels have dropped.

I have started HRT now.

@tryingtobesogood anger was one of my biggest side effects of WLI. I'm also post-menopausal mid 50s. I had not realised how much I used food to distract me from negative emotions, so I got such a shock at how angry I felt when I couldn't smother it with food.

I have found different (hopefully better) ways of dealing with anger, stress, sadness and boredom. I don't always succeed but now instead of having a thick piece of toast with lashings of butter and jam, if I can't overcome the urge to calm myself with food, I have a toffee or sweet. I took MJ for 5 months, reduced for two months and I've been off it for over 3 months and so far, so good. I'm still the same weight I was when I hit my goal nearly 6 months ago.

Actually completely the opposite! I have been the calmest and least anxious I have been in years since starting MJ 🤷‍♀️

That’s interesting as I had an easy if fat menopause.

That’s good, and I think maybe I need something small like that to help.
