10mg but not losing

For the first time since starting MJ I’m getting suppression, reduced food noise and getting fuller quicker for the whole 7 days. I’m so happy that I’ve found a dose that is achieving this. However, I’m not losing weight. Have not lost weight in 7 weeks now on 10mg. I have 2 or 3 meals a day and my calories are usually around 1,000 per day on average. I’m over 16 stone so have a lot to lose. Not sure why I’m not losing weight but getting all the other benefits.

Should I go up to 12.5mg? Or am I being impatient?

Yep, eat more. Eat twice as much protein as you are right now. Your body thinks it's starving so will hold on to all the fat to protect you from the famine. Feed your body and it will begin to heal.

Can you suggest how to add more protein?

Im pescatarian - if you look at what I eat usually, would you suggest just more of what protein I already have? So two fillets of seabass instead of one? I have tried to get the food with added protein in e.g. protein yoghurts but they always make me sick. Or protein powder, makes me sick - must have something in it that doesn’t agree with me? So I try and stick to whole foods

Interesting I have plateaud on 10mg too! But I am not being at all strict with calories and macros etc. so mines more understandable. I think a lot of my weight loss to date kind of came from the side effects rather than strict suppression . I'm on week 5 of 10 gained a lb. l'd reordered a 10 but I've decided to use 1.5ml.of golden dose to make up to 12.5

Is it dairy you're reacting to, maybe? You could try a clear whey protein if not. Or try plant based protein (huel is okay, 40g protein in a serving of their Black range of protein powder.)

Other things - extra eggs, boiled eggs for snacks, spoon of cottage cheese on top of salad, tin of Sardines with your salad, smoked salmon and scrambled egg for breakfast?

How much weight have you lost since you started on mounjaro? Were you losing on the lower doses?

2 stone, just over 2lbs consistently each week for the first 12 weeks

These are all good ideas thank you! I tend to get stuck in routines when it comes to meals and on autopilot so will need to make an active effort to change things up

This made me laugh as well. I’m sure at 16 stone I’m a miles away from starvation, but I understand what you’re saying
