Advice - should I move up?

I’m on 10mg and side effects have reduced massively but I’m still getting diarrhoea each time I eat. This is the only side effect albeit not a pleasant one. It is working for 4 days out of the 7. I’m also concerned about the shortages of the higher dosages. What do you think I should do?

Are you consistently losing weight? When you say 4 out of 7 it's working - does that mean suppression, food noise, feeling full after a meal or all of it?

If you are no longer losing and feeling all of the above then I would move up.

Yes all of those, but days 5,6 & 7 it’s back to being normal again as if the MJ is completely out of my system. I lose about 0.5-1lb in those 4 days and then the remaining 3 days I stay the same or put on 0.5lb. So I’m consistently losing 0.5lb a week

Diarrhoea every time you eat is no way to live. Have you tried a probiotic?

No I haven’t. Could you recommend one please? I have IBS and I’m lactose intolerant so I’m used to daily diarrhoea but getting it every time I eat is a bit much and I’d love to reduce it

I take this one: https://pipingrock.com/en-gb/products/digestive-duo-probiotic-multi-enzyme-30-vegetarian-capsules-46482?srsltid=AfmBOormzWytmjEJczok8TPba0y-XFiG2a6dmVm48X3JDheJKrbaIfaL. The shipping will probably be very high just for that item as it comes from the US but I buy it alongside my son’s melatonin which isn’t available in the UK. I’m sure Holland and Barrett would have something similar.

It could be food related, heavy carbs, fatty or fried food, spicy food, red meat. I'd keep a food diary and work out what us triggering you. Also look up biokult a probiotic used by the nhs, it worked wonders for me, I went from gluten and lactose free to being able to eat everything.

Yep done all that. It doesn’t matter what I eat unfortunately. I avoid my trigger foods in general but with MJ it happens with anything. A grape, piece of lettuce, a prawn! I’ll see if the probiotics help at all. I’ve been reading up on them and I never knew they could help with IBS
