Can I go to another provider every month to make use of the discount

I have had the introductory with shemed at £99 and want to try and get it cheaper. Can I go to another provider or is it a complete ball ache? I'm on injection 3 today.

Yes you can and lots of us do. I've used Asda and medexpress.

SilenceInside · 07/06/2025 17:30

Yes if you want to. But Shemed is a subscription so be sure you give enough notice to be able to cancel.

morbidcuriosity · 07/06/2025 17:33

Yes, I've used a few now.. started Asda, then zava, med express, iq doctor now oushk.. I'm nearing maintenence so gonna stick with oushk now.. although I am tempted to grab another cheap one from a new place..

Just don't fill out the questionnaire and don't get next script. I have asked them.

I didn't realise not all were subscription

Most are not subscription. If you haven’t seen it, check out the https://monj.co.uk website for price comparison. It also says which are subscription services.

You can I found it an absolute shag and gave up

Shemed also charge you £50 for mandatory bloods.

loverofpants · 07/06/2025 17:38

If you keep using different sites, do you have to keep restarting at the lowest dose? Or can you just sign up and choose any?

you would fill out the consultation and state you’ve had it before then need your proof of prescription and you can start on the dose you’ve been on/ move up if you want :)

My last 4 orders have been with different suppliers. All at 15mg so not needed to reduce dose. They have been quite intense sign ups, a video call or video file. I completely understand they have to verify properly. I had to send proof of previous prescription too.

You could always swap to a pharmacy that price matches so that you are always paying the lower price without having to move around. Simple Online pharmacy, we prescribe and IQ Dr price match.

IHateMozzies · 07/06/2025 22:30

I’ve used Superdrug, Medexpress and IQ Doctor. If you would like £40 off your Medexpress order, just drop me a message.

Mich57 · 09/06/2025 08:46

I've just emailed medexpress to see if they'll match Farmeci price! Fingers crossed as don't like the faff of changing!!

Any bad reviews of Farmeci??

RememberDecember · 09/06/2025 08:49

Interested to see as I was thinking of changing from MedExpress.

TourangaLeila · 09/06/2025 09:10

I go with whoever has the best price at the time I want to buy. I think I've moved between 6 or 7 pharmacies so far. No issues.

As long as you can provide the necessary evidence it's fine.

Redlightbulb · 09/06/2025 10:28

You can change each month but I found after changing a few times it gets a bit tedious (a lot of them now require video calls)
I tend to pick one now that has consistently low prices so that it is not worth the extra few pounds changing each month.
Only drawback I have found is that the customer service isn't always so good with the cheaper providers (avoid Curate like the plague!)
Considering moving to Medicine Market Place myself as they have very attractive prices on the 12.5 & 15 but a bit concerned that they will soon get swamped by new customers & their CS will nosedive.

I'm sticking to 2.5 for my next pen so hopefully won't fluctuate too much!

Aww Curate are the best
The guy is so helpful
If I phone up and don't get an answer he usually phones me back within the hour.
After confirming my order, I had my order the very next day! No problems here

I've seen a few recent posts where people have had to cancel their order (refunded quickly) as video consultations were required & curate hadn’t got any appointments for 4 weeks. Something to be aware of.

schopenhauer · 10/06/2025 12:48

Yes I’ve been doing this recently, it’s been fine. Done Oushk and Pillsorted and now with Farmeci. Going to stick with them because the price match even to discounted prices so I can’t see why I’d need to switch. I have a discount code if anyone wants to pm. Farmeci been great for me so far. I don’t really like video calls so have to make your own little video and upload it, easily done with an iPhone.
